So.. creatue handlers should take the pets, train them a few commands then make a tick shouw outside the starports?
Creature handlers arnt good for combats or anything like that so why not just put ch in the entertainer tree then...
If you say a creature handlers role in swg is just to train then i dunno, just look at the creature handlers in the movies?
Like the rancor trainer in jabbas palace, the jawas walking around with the rontos etc.. Dont think the walked up to the local be and told them to make you a pet (a pet that is crap anyway)

I don't know anymore what our role is in this game.
Once we were damage dealing PVP people. The melee crowd whined and whined and we got nerfed out of that.
Then we were the people that supplied tanks to do Krayts and High end mobs. THE MELEE people whined and whined and we got double nerfed.
Now I think our role is comic relief. At least that is what the Development team and the head Joker seems to want us to be.

Well, I am tired of hearing how tough sampling is. It has been a long time since you could walk up to the lair of what once was a decent pet and find a baby waiting. The CH usually had to kill quite a number of very tough critters at a number of lairs before they would even see a baby. Most CH's are were very familar with the cloning center. Then, depending on the creature and your level, it can take quite some time to tame it. It was just as hard, if not harder, to tame a good pet as it is to sample good DNA. I died 14 times and it took 2 and a half hours to tame my first TMB but it was a good pet back then. Now it is crap and a non-ch can have a BE exploit that will kill it with no problem. Try wiping out 300 Bull Rancor lairs without finding a baby then tell me sampling is hard. When you finally do find one, a BE could have made a few hundred better pets in the time it took to find one.
Do I have invisible signature syndrome or something?

I have no problem with using BE pets. I challange you to name one profession that can go out into the woods and pick up a top of the line weapon? Aside from quests and Uber Loot NONE and in fact most loot weapons are crap!
Their is no other COMBAT profession that does or can do this or a regular basis.so if we think we should be a combat class why should we be any different?
I challenge you to name one profession that:
- Has to wait fifteen seconds to bring out its weapon in the wilderness
- Cannot bring out its weapon in combat
- Cannot have its weapon accompany it on a vehicle
- Has to wait long periods of time/heal its weapon using bought stimpacks between battles in order to continue using it
- Has a weapon that periodically runs away
- Has a weapon that periodically stores itself - sometimes during combat (during which it cannot be brought out)
Ask a Swordsman to unequip his hammer during battle and he'll probably /whap you.

Their is no profession with the same problems as us plain and simple. If i had my way those would be fixed and we would be closer to beinganother combat class. we need to be equal to the other combat classes not better. Allowing us to go out int he woods and pick up our best weapons anytime we want would give us an advantage over other combat classes. and you know what us having an advantage means, another NERF!
Once the combat revamp comes out it is my biggest fear that someone with just the CH profession will be equal to the othercpmbat professions and will still have the ability to pick up another master combat class. If the devs had half a brain they would drastically increase the SP req by making us master medic and scout. Why master medic you ask? What does that have to do with CH?Simply because it would be a very usefull skill to have as a CH and most of us have some medicskills anywaybut thats just what I would do.

I can see the similarity between what happened to CH and what is happening to CM. I was a 3/3/3/3 CH before the last creature "rebalance" and I am currently a MCM,although not for long. The funny thing is I have been thinking about coming back to CH for a while now, just because I had more fun with it than any other profession Ive done. I know pets arent the uber meatshields they once were but as a melee player (swords) I am my own tank anyway. I just want a profession that allows me to play at a more leisurely pace since my week is now filled with term papers and tests again. I just want to wander from planet to planet looking for babies to tame and killing anything else I come across so Ican harvest and sell their parts to finance my trips. I have come to realize that my 12 hour a day 7 day a week powergaming for no reason is no longer what I want to do. That was a slight exaggeration but I played way too much, whatever the actual hours per day were.I know the profession is for the most part broken compared to what it once was,but it still beats just about anything else Ive done. Don't worry though, I won't post any "what can x-x-x-x CH tame?" questions since I know that it will result in a savage beating.
