ummm... hate to say it but if you sent a pet after me in PvP but it would be dead befoer it got halfway to me (mister sniper speaking)... and thats if i choose to pay attention to it till after i kill you... pets are worthless in PvP (still) but it is supposed to be player V PLAYER, not Player v PET... the only use a pet had in PvP is to distract an AT-ST long enough for me to kill it...

as for where P9M is coming from, i've been MCH for over 8 months... Rifleman just a lil longer, till i realized it was unplayable without a pet (at the time there was a 2.5 damage mod for melee damage, and armor and buffs were a rarity)...

CH used to be the most overpowered profession in the game... 3 gurrecks, the old probot, and 3 AT-ST's all out at once... the most HAM anything in the game had was about 50k...

the nerfed that, then nerfed us again, and again, and again... after the big nerf CH's had to learn to play the game completly differently... wild pets for the most part were garbage compared to what BE's made... and the few 'rare' babies they gave us were fun for a week or 2... then it was more of a "now what" for most MCH...

as for endgame material, there isn't onemob in the game that can't be solo'd with the correct template... MCH allows that for me... endor or dath don't scare me buffed or not, armor or not... i can autofire and let the pets tank and kill most anything... and i still walk most everywhereif i'm out hunting...

i know how to play with my template, created it for hunting big game...

your arguments started off good, and ya shoulda quit while you were ahead... from some reading of the boards the last couple days i see not much has changed for CH since Dec...

there are very few diehard MCH's left like Tivo and Milteck... the dabblers are gone, and from what i've heard MCH is a grind from hell now...

the worst part about what they did in december was they got rid of alot of the mid game content... it was go from enraged rancors to krytes, with very few inbetween mobs...

lmao, any ranged profession will beat a melee if they are smart... actully i like ch the way it is now... and i have made some post similar to yours... but i have been a master for along time...

as for BH why should they be great in combat???? they don't really specialize in any one weapon to get a full mastery of it...

lets face it the only profession that gets what they want is the jedi...

but as for overpowered notbefore the dec patch... we were a profession that worked... one of the few... so the devs broke us so we sould be the same as everyone else... heck we still aren't really sure what part a CH plays, combat or support profession...

Do

You need to read up.

Yes all professions are hurting, but there is supposed to be a SP/power ratio in this game. The more SP a profession takes the greater the benefits. The benefits of CH are far less than any other Elite profession.

While other professions were nefed by imporveing other professions, Ch was completely revamped to be useless. It was made so there would be no benefit at all to dabbleing. Find me another profession which 1 full tree does not give you decent benefits to the profession.

The devs spanked us hard with the nerf bat long before buffs, armor and weapons were fully in the game to their full potential. I have tanked creatures as a Master rifleman that my best pet would have signifent trouble with pre nerf.

Go play in PvP with your pets see how happy you are when your best pet lasts 3 seconds and then loses vit (which they aren't supposed to do anymore).

Do PvE and watch your CL50 rancor get spanked by a group of Cu-pa's.

Then tell me that there is no problem with the profession that others don't have it worse.

Go find our issues, every aspect of our profession was nerfed including our economy. Go out and try to take an order for a mount, then try to provide it. Hope you are patient.

Honestly, as far as Mounts, it seems the only ones that use them are CHs, or people recently dropped CH. I use mine for sake of saving my swoop for those really long rides.

Its a freaking game see the lighter side of things. If the combat rebalance dosent lighten things up for you.

Oh, things will be pretty light for us in a few months when all the other professions (including your precious BH) get smacked into the Stone Age with the Combat Balance. The Creature Handlers will be asking, "What's the big deal?" in a mocking tone because we get this line of reasoning all the time.

I guarantee a lot of people will be singing a different tune very soon. Then we'll see how that "lighter side of things" works.

The simple point is very simple. They are not going to change any major mechanics in the combat system untill the rebalance. Heck they only gave the bhs what we got, because we were an out and out dieing class. The class I might point out is responsible for keeping jedi in line. So they had a choice just to outright conceed all the jedis to knight hood, and then we could call the game jedi wars.

It is kind of like installing a brand new engine in a car you are about to take to the junkyard. Alot of professions just like the ch got nerfed all to hell. Infact some professions got nerfed all to hell before the ch did. So if nothing is going to happen for a month and a half. Then what is the point of crying all over the place. In a month in a half how much of this will truely be applicable. For my part I would love to see them get the combat balance up rather then parceling out nerfs and counter nerfs. I would prefer to see the game get back to some sort of balance. I want group dynamics to come back. I want to see pvp start to pop back up. Instead of buffs and uber templates makeing people shy away from it. Heck I would love to see people investing in different kind of weapons and armor. Right now we have what 46 professions, and combat wise only a few are worth doing. Which is really sad, because every profession I have done has had such interesting twists and turns, and unique mechanics.

We

OUT AND OUT DYING CLASS?!?!?! Well, if that's the reason for a Revamp before the Rebalance, then where the Hell is our revamp? We've been a dying class long before you were a glimmer in your mama's eye while she was grinding master marksman.

Bro, I've been CH twice now, Master once, and working on master again. No one in any of these threads that I've read have EVER said we are the only red headed stepchild. You're talking to a Carbineer/Creature Handler bro, BELIEVE ME, I KNOW ABOUT BEING A RED HEADED STEPCHILD. You talk about having a carbine line that is useless, I GOT 4 CARBINE LINES THAT ARE USELESS. If you would quit trying to play Mr Rogers and attempt to make us believe you know what you are talking about and read what was put down, you would realize that our biggest "complaint" ain't that we are the most nerfed, our biggest complaint is that we got nerfed and we were promised to be rebalanced a long time ago, and still hasn't hit, and not only that, we got other stuff taken away form us.

First of all, if we want to be in any way effective, we have to goto a BE to get an effective pet. Sure, we can tame them, and honestly, for PvE, there are a few tames that are awesom, i.e. my pet Savage Quenker Hegh. But with out the light armor and high HAM that BE's get, it ain't worth it. For higher end content, we have to rely on BEs for taming cloths. And pet stims (which I don't use honestly, stim C with a bunch of trick commands work just as good.)

Second of all, to be any effective in PvP or PvE we have no choice but to take up a weapon skill. Which this effectively leaves us with NO nich in getting money other than missions. They took away our mounts when they brought in speeders, they pretty much stopped us from going out and getting non-ch requirement animals, cause they can just goto a BE and get a level 10 dewiback or CuPathat is better than a level 10 Zucca Boar or Krevol. The only thing we can do is train these pets, which NO ONE will pay for, and if you try to charge for it, you get greifed. We can tame all these cool and awesome pets, but can't do anything with them, cause no one can use them but us for one( which really isn't a problem, cause we dont' need to be an FOTM again) and no one wants to use them cause they can have a BE make the same animal, but 10x better.

Lastly, explain to me why a rifleman has a 5 second delay on changing there weapon IN COMBAT, and we have to 1) wait after we are not in combat and 2) wait 15 seconds PLUS the time it takes to store the animal after combat. How is that fair? Hmmmmm???

Sorry man, preaching to the choir when you try to talk about us whinning and complaining cause other professions are nerfed. As far as the novice professions being nerfed, does it really matter, Master Marksman should not be as good as a Mater in Rifleman, Carbineer, or Pistoleer. A Medic shouldn't be as good as a Doctor, a Scout should't be as good as a Ranger, (unfortunatly, both arepretty muched nerfed so they are the same thing).

Pretty much that's all I have to say. Ya really should stop trying to read between the lines when everything is out in the open bud.

My god some people are just utterly full of themselves. Before the patch the ch profession worked. Give me a break I saw some of the sick twisted stuff that went down. MCHs camping the krayt graveyard with five graul maulers. MCHs pulling out three big pets to kick the tar out of you in pvp. The profession was way overpowered. That is why almost everyone dabbled in it. For my part I would say ch is a support class. Not a primary class. Though I will concede some support classes are getting to close to being primary classes. Riflemen carbineers and pistoleers to name a few. If you would like me to list trees in classes that are utterly worthless I can. The underworld in smuggler is a good one as is the entire spice tree. The underworld gets you the ability to buy faction points. In small amounts and sell them. Now you got a small amount cannot exceed two hundred. You pay a good chunk of money for them. You trade them to another player now in there you transfer being a rank private, and tada you lose most of the points your selling result. You spend hours makeing next to no money. Also great bonus you can talk to jawas. Only you can only talk to them in one place, and they buy junk off of you for 150 credits woot. The spices great tree since food beats it on all fronts. Spice poisons those who use it, and it have a dramatically short half life. 10 minutes power and five minutes of pukeing. Stack up vasarian brandy to muon, and see how you fair.

For those of you who just love to take pot shots at bh let me list off the nerfs. We have to take carbines and train in them. We get underhand fire knockdown and sprayshot at master. Underhand and fire knockdown do not work. They do not do alot of damage, and they eat up ham. I have literally hit the fire knockdown on people twenty times before it sticks once. The llc branch is just sad. Especially the contrary mods. You get negative range mod in the range you need to be to use the special attacks. The singles being the only ones that work. Since the cones do not stick damage they just aggro anything within twenty meters. Now you might say well your not profiscient in any weapons that is true, but the power of being a master of all those ranged weapons. Should involve being able to use them all to some effect. With the llc and carbine being weak for pvp we only have a line of pistols. Which they also nerfed when they nerfed burn stacking.

I agree totally that a player classes strength should be relative to the skill points used. If you are telling me though you were first in line you are just ignorant. There were people in line before you. People who need help just as bad. Some of them gasp spent more points then you even, and they are weaker then you. I dare you to go to the smuggler forum and tell them how utterly nerfed you are and see their response. You have been owed since december in my book that is johny come lately. What you guys need to do is learn to use your skills differently. Maybe the best move might not be to just send a pet rushing in. Maybe if you combine another professions skills with another combat skill. You might see some interesting results.

The facts are this profession atleast has some combat value, and if you use it right in pve or pvp. You can accomplish quite alot. How hard is it to see the value of this. You get a meat sheild infront of you. Wonderful for tackling mobs. Your meat sheild can inflict a number of states, on creatures or people. You got posture down attacks ranged attacks poison disease knockdowns intimidations. Add on that you can use your pets as regenerative sheilds. When one gets worn down you simply store it pull out another. You can even tailor the pet you use to what or whom you are fighting. I can tell you for a fact that if you send the right pet against someone with the wrong weapon. That pet can last an awful long time. There are wild critters that have some pretty killer resists on them, and useing the right pet for the right situation is a good idea. The pet is only as good as its master. I am not going to send my fire vuln pet against a commando. I will use the one with 80 percent resist to heat against him. Let him work down a 8000 ham pet with his flame thrower. If he comes for me I am cool with that too. I can use that pets posture change attack on him to keep him right where I want him.

To so fine a point. The profession works. No its not the god mode of the past, but it works. If you arenot a complete loon you will balance your ch with a profession that makes use of what the ch provides you with. If anything the rebalance will make the pets more effective. Even if they are just used to sap an opponent of a special pool. I know is pretty hard to swallow that until the rebalance. That a tka pikmen fencer swordsmen can tank everything a pet can tank.

I am saying stop being like the other whiners out there. Screaming nerf the hell out of them, or give me a uber edge. That is the exact same kind of tripe that got alot of the ch content stripped from chs. Your complaining that the professions content has gone down hill. Well maybe it is, but there is no good reason to scream another profession into nerfdom. Take their content out, because like ch the hardcore members of that profession will be stuck with it. The inbalance abusers will simply take five days to grind into another inbalance. Like I said if the rebalance is anywhere close to as good as they say it is. Then the skill points in ch should be relatively close to the skill points in say a melee or a ranged class. I for one hate the have have not system in place. That over rewards some and provides next to no rewards for others. I can tell by the level of hate you guys are getting fed up with it to. I was so fed up with what it was with MBH. That i started a second account to do weaponsmith.

I worked so hard on my bh and loved him, but had to face facts he was no pvp pve machine. Infact so much of the way cool skills even the non combat ones. Had lost so much of their beauty. Though we gota little peice of the rebalance, and now I am much happier with my mbh. Like I bet alot of mchs will be when you get your peice. If you want an even brighter lineing. Think about how much slower profession grinding will be after that publish. You could end up sitting on a huge gold mine.

Dude,

All I am going to say is your precious BH can do 3K+ damage. We CH have no one special that comes close to that. So cry to someone else you are broken. I did not see any BH coming here to support CH when we got nerfed. You will get no empathy or sympathy from me. CH is the one class I came to play. It got nerfed to brokeness. You did not like the 3 GSP's killing you because you did not know how to play your class. That is not our fault. WE WERE NOT OVERPOWERED. At very best we were third in power to TK, Com, and BH. All three of those classes could and would kill my pets prior to the nerf. And now cut through them like melted butter. You need to do your homework son, and let the grown-ups take care of whether CH is broken or not.

It is people like you who got your ass handed to you on a tray, never understood CH worked, and did not use proper armor/buffs that made CH what it is. If you cannot understand that, then you will never understand us. If you cannot understand us then I do not know why your CH at all.

I got it, you are just another hologrinder trying to get it in before patch 10. Good luck with that Mr. Wannabe Kenobi.

Does that llc bother you. You obviously have no freaking clue what skilled use of a llc involves. Dumb freaking luck. I have heard this one a hundred times. The llc is the bomb. Well yes it can be the bomb, but it can also kill you just as fast as the enemy. The accuracy is appaling. On average a llc can miss four out of five times, And loseing a hundred ham points per shot is attrocious. That super shot 3000 point stuff your talking about is a major peice of luck. Thats just the way of things, and to the bhs consternation.

What you want the pets to do 3000 point hits on players. Then I suppose you want to add riflemen ontop of that. Thats just retarded. I could see the blight if you were utterly dependant on pets, but your not. You can go master other professions aswell. So you want you and your pet doing 3000 point hits. Everyone listen up there is a new flavor of the month. Everyone simply must be something master ch. While we are at it we should allow tkas to put a pisol in their mouth so they can use ranged hits while they punch us, or a pistoleer/carbineer should tape his guns together. You want god mode. Simple and to the point huh. You want a 9000 ham pet that does 3000 point hits, and you will just sit back and use another mastered profession to pile on super power. How self serveing is that.

Get a clue and do not sick graul maulers on bhs. Use something with great electric acid resists. That way real shocker you sap our offensive power. Force us to rely on fwgs and laser rifles. There is a reason that pets do not get 3000 point hits. They have 10000 hams. I would have to say that anyone with that kind of combined power is just to awesome to imagine. I guess I could point out the ch advantages till I am blue in the face. You guys wouldnt be happy unless you had a pet that could do 3000 point hits. Tell me to learn my profession learn your own. At master you can call out behemoths. You can call out and use multiple pets, which can have different attacks, and different resists.

No you cannot possibly be this ignorant. You must just really be selfish. Fine you want your pets to do 3k hits. Okay then wouldnt it be fair if your pet only had 3k of ham. Just to be in line with the people you would use them to kill. Nah that would be fair wouldnt it. You sick a truely awesome killer on someone while you stand back 45 meters and take pot shots with rifles on the poor soul.

Oh by the way I do know my profession and I would wax the multiple pets, but sadly I would be near wiped out in time to face their pistoleer master. Maybe its you who needs to learn your profession, and instead of being a P O K E M O N trainer. Maybe you should be fighting side by side with your pets. You have the skill points to do that. You have the skill points to go out and be a master riflemen master swordsman tka pistoleer carbineer. A combat medic a master bounty hunter master commando. You can master anything else in the game. You have a pet that can increase your attack power slightly. That can increase your defensive power greatly, and you got access to almost all the states in ch itself.

I am new to ch and havent even mastered the profession, and somehow I am manageing to win in pvp with my pets. If you cannot see the irony you got a problem. By the way I am not just beating noobs or weaklikngs with my new combined attacks. I am takeing down pikemen, and swordsmen with it. So exactly what is your excuse?

Look here **edit**tard, I am through with you. You are obviously a hologrinder who does not even realize that CH has a timer. Try switching pets IN COMBAT to adjust to the BH who just came around the corner.

You do not know nothing so therefore you are nothing. You do have everything to gain by learning something. Go back to BH and learn to respect CH before you come back here.

I hope the combat balance nerfs armor, special spamming, buffs and all of that.

Anyone who says that can't do anything without buffs in this game is a damn lair. I can solo rancors with my Wookiee in no armor, being a Master 2Hand swordsman.

I can't wait for it, if it ever comes. CH's just might be viable again one day...

Exactly how is being able to switch up pets in combat a good idea. I got what eighty thousand ham in my datapad. I should have access to that at a whim. Thats not a good idea thats a nightmare. If I fail to keep my pets alive through a battle. Then its my own dang fault. So it takes 45 seconds to store a pet after combat. If your in a town or POI dungeon. Once stored you can call a new pet. Gee I have been so wronged. I should be utterly peeved my bh took damage in that battle. Well it looks pretty bad I better wait to heal up. I should have known I was getting shafted all along. My bars should immediately refill the moment combat stops. You have a 45 second wait deal with it. Everyone else does.

Show me a man that resorts to profanity, and I will show you a man who has run out of good ideas, or did he ever have one in the first place.
