Thread: I swear some people are about to get slapped...
"50 credits," he says.
WTH?
"50 credits for the heal."
Holy crap are these people on crack or something? First I have to gripe out docs in the medcenter because they'd rather heal their tumbler buddies than my 80% blacklines and now I get the SWG version of the inner city window washer?
Next time it happens I'm puting a cap in someone's forehead, or sending my blurrg after him.

I've only just started the CH proffesion and have already had ppl asking me to mount their pets. When I explain that I can't they seem abit offended. Don't know why.
Some ppl don't have any manners, there's a good thread in the weaponsmith forum about all the problems they have with ppl. Some are really funny, I can recommend it for a good laugh.

Out of nowhere one day, as I'm running missions from Nyax goons north of Coronet (this is back when I was regrinding MCH), I get a tell out of no where from someone asking me to train their mount. I explain to them that I can't help them, my datapad is full, I have no spare slot to train a mount in. He says well I'll take a pet or two and free up some space. At the time I was 4/3/4/4 and had 21 pets on my datapad from when I was an MCH earlier, and told him no, sorry, but there's no way I can train his pet as a mount now. He then insists that I should destroy some of my pets to make space so his mount could be trained!
This is the point where I was about to put someone on the ignore list for the first time.
I always wear my MCH tag these days. If someone asks me to train a mount, I might if I have time, but I won't ever go out of my way to train a pet. I have a few slots open as only very specific pets are allowed in my inventory for anything other that fancy. For instance, a wild dune boar would get given away in a heartbeat or it would be deleted quickly as there is no place for it in my arsenal.
At any rate, I always wear my MCH tag, you never know when someone is going to find a bull rancor (baby) and look for a creature handler.
Its to be expected jsut like master doctors are hounded for buffs.
Your correct i nthe factthat there are some players out there that dont give us the respect we deserve or expect soemthig for nothing but deal with it in a positive manner and move on. If the player is unruly /addignore
I myself like msot of you are asked more then a few times a day for mount training or pet training and in recent times have been asked to help go out and help earn ch exp. If im not currently pre-occupied i do what i can but if i cant or jsut plain dont want to help i explain this to them and move along. Nothing more nothing less.
Just relax continue to have fun and don't sweat the little things.

I mean, do people think we are a charity? Do they think that they should get free vehicles and buffs too? If a doc doesn't buff 'em for free, are they obnoxious to them? No they aren't. But they have no respect for Creature Handlers, we're seen as conveniences rather than fellow gamers. It's driving up the wall and making me want to remove my Master Creature Handler tag.
This is not a case with Creature Handlers only. A lot of the new game changes have, sadly, reduced a lot of professions to just 'conveniences' for the crowd the powers-that-be are trying to please. For example - there aren't even those limited vehicle rentals anymore, but a whole free landspeeder when you first start the game, so it's quite understandable that, given a landspeeder at the very start, someone would expect a pet for free, too. Everything seems to be going towards pleasing people with a 'Gimme! Gimme!' mindset and a short attention span.
Congrats mate you turned what was turning into an irritation situation for you into profit.
Right on

see I don't consider my pets my 'arsenal'.. I consider them my pets. They are mine, personal. 'Do not tell me what to do with them in a million years they are my friends' type personal. The amount of people who expect to give them one for nothing just because I'm an MCH is staggering. About every 5 minutes. It's absolutely nuts. I just politely refuse anyone who asks for anything doing anymore unless I actually know them and have talked to them before. Even then, I'm not a public service, I'm a gamer with a skill tree to grind. If I'm down in the warren, I'm not fighting my way back to the surface just to train someone's pet.

I enjoy adventuring with them, but there is no room for the mounts or not wanted rares in my datapad to be held as I have specific pets for specific purposes and there is very little room for anything else.
