Thread: Unspeakable Outrage!
(I also brought it up so those that did not know aren't mislead by the nice looking numbers.)
Actually, I did do a search, but there wasn't anyone nearby - imagine that, in the middle of the Dath woods. I even sent tells to a couple MCHs I know (Haz, Malera, some others) but no one was on.
...and no, I wasn't gonna tab out and post to the forum. I wanted to stick around in case a CSR decided to do something in a timely fashion. Needless to say, finding a CSR doing something in a timely fashion is harder than finding a baby Bull Rancor, but I'm an optimist. ![]()
Gee I had no idea the debug techniques are relatively unknown to CHs here are some good ways to debug your character. I learned alot of these from doing my BH in the old days when BH marks were really borked. Use them in good health.
1. Duel with another player and take a incap the end duel. Make sure you are away from the beasty when you do this 100 meters or so. Sometimes this will fix you up.
2. Train in a skill if your fortunate enough to have a few skillpoints left over get a box of scout or medic this seems to be highly successful since I guess the system updates your mods and thus resets your character.
3. Set up a camp and sit for a minute then leave the camp. This is good for removeing terrain obstacles the standard you cannot see that. I guess its because camps come with small boundries that can jostle you straight.
4. Try the unstick command why this has worked for me in the past is beyond me. Havent used it in forever.
5. If there is a body of water nearby go take a swim. Remember water has state codeing.
6. Craft a camp but mess up the final assembly so that it wont assemble. Then assemble properly this is a nifty little bug fix.
7. Alter your graphics settings enable and disable multiple features alter keymaps. Hardly works but sometimes it does.
8. Find a server boundry to cross and recross. This need not be a server boundry sometimes structures can do the job going back and forth through a door this can cure alot of what ails you in the game.
9. Have a harvester and place it once again this can help out alot.
10. Once again use the duel but have your partner apply a state such as bleed once again can cure what ails you.
11. Log totally out and do a full scan its just a good general rule of thumb, and is one for good reason.
There are alot of tricks in the game to debug your avatar sometimes they work sometimes they dont. You just need to keep stabbing until you find something that works. Usually the more instability an action causes the better it is at fixing something broken.
Um, I got the 'can't tame that' bug while trying to get my three female narglatches. I was able to tame them using the radial option instead of typing /tame and I didn't have to log out or do anything else. Not sure if that'll help.
Hope you find another one soon. ![]()
One thing you should know though, is that there is no point in getting more than +25 in Taming clothes. It will display in your skill window, but there is a hard cap on skill bonuses.
Since you have two types of modifiers, the Tame Vicious/Wild and the Taming Bonus (ala Wookiees), those should stack. Foods will also stack even though they will take you above the +25 bonus.
@OP
I suffered this with 2 baby BullRancors at the same lair so I feel your pain![]()
