You're meaning that animals are supposed to run off, attack whatever they feel like? Aren't we supposed to be MASTER Creature Handlers? I've been bugging this since yesterday. Every aggro animal I have wants to run off, killing whatever yellow dot that's around....and trust me, it's a f*ing pain in the ass. If it were only the GPS, fine.....but that is certainly not the case.

yes pets sohuld agro on things wnhe claled if they have high ferocity, but once you give a command they sohuld obey it, amt they are pretty much ignoring tiher handelrs(any command holds tmhe for aoubt 3 seconds thne its as tohugh youve jsut caleld thme again) this means our pets are effectivly uontrollable, i might as well have gottne a csr to spawn a wild ss wnhe i call mine for all th econtrol i have, the lackx of control is something ive bugged and consider to be a massive problem peronsally, pets sohudl revert in the asence of commands but once a comamdns given the handler sohuld be in control, i sohuld not have to run a loops /tellpet follow macor jsut to actualyl have some control over it

I doubt this was just for the great plains stalker bug. They fixed all the in game animal ferocity. I am glad it is fixed but I hardly think this is an example of a petition working on the boards lol.

Is IT?

This is the way pets with ferocity are supposed to behave.

This will make hunting for the rare creatures such as Bull Rancors, Widows, GPS, and so on much more challenging but possible as I tamed all them under the old system of ferocity.

If you command your pets to stay they will stay but if you are not careful your GPS or rancor could go running off after a tasty snack.

I can understand that some ch may not see this as a benefit that goes with ferocity but it is the way it should be and think once you adjust will find it a benefit.

Actually, that is sort of the truth. They will come back when you command them to....but then 10 seconds later they will run off again....and again....and again....and again. And being careful have nothing to do with it, if there is a yellow dot near you your animal WILL run. And it's not only rancors, GPS or rare animals either,it's EVERY animal that's agressive. My delerious merek avenger is playing ping pong across every goddamn plain I take it to. If high lvl creatures does this...fine...but this a cl 40 creature and I'm supposed to be a MCH....doesn't make sense. And nor does any of the animals I use that display this behaviour have any rating in ferocity.

i got a level 22 bocatt and a growing level 39 be angler. They are both now uncontrolable around animals. I feel like one of those people at the park or the beach who cant control their dog and being pulled around by the dogs force against the leash. You know, the people who get pulled around by the leash and they shuffle and stumble against the strength of the disobedient dog while they try to in vein to command the dog to behave. Not the image i have of a creature handler, let alone a master creature handler. The animals in the environment attacking eachother is interesting and an added depth of realism but this image of a master creature handler chasing his pets around yelling at them to stop attacking random things doesnt seem so realistic.

I have tested it and if you tell your pet to stay the creature stays regardless of the creature. Also feeding your pets will help in eliminating the pets need to attack other creatures as that was one of the past benefits of feeding pets was better control.

I am not the only one who is happy ferocity is back to the way it was. If creatures with lowferocity are aggroing then that should be reported as a bugas it shouldnt be happening such as the bocatts mentioned above. But creatures like GPS, rancor, frenzied, and arachne widow/queen are acting like they did before the ferocity bug impacted them.

I'm not too excited about this ferocity thing myself. Because of it, I lost the first swamp stalker baby I have seen on Radiant server. Can imagine I was pretty upset when the baby decided to run off and get itself killed and I couldn't do anything about it. They even start attacking my pets from a distance.

stay is definatly not working milteck, ive tested with my swmap stalker and if im lucky it will work for as long as 5 seconds if the nearest yellow dot is aoubt 70m fomr me, and the cat 2m fomr me

other potentially sueful info i ALWAYS have on a +25 taming shirt (not broken in case thats been fixed) and my race for those few ho havnet cottoned on is Bothan so no racial bonus's

This must have been a general bug with ferocity on everything? I don't recall ever having pets that just decide to go postal on random stuff, but recently I have noticed it with some of my creatures. My spitting rawl has quite a bit of trouble keeping up with me under ideal circumstances, but when he gets sidetracked chasing after practically everything that crosses his path, it makes it downright impossible! But, I actually like it, makes things a little more interesting.

I also realize now that this change accounts for something else that happened to me recently. I was running around Naboo with some friends, one of whom is a fairly low-level fencer. I figured that he could use some help with tanking, so I told my BE dunelizard to follow and guard him. While I was handling a fambaa spawn, my friend ran off to take on some smaller stuff, with my dunelizard in tow. My friend returned a few minutes later, but I didn't see my pet following him. He said that he had been with him the last time he checked, when he started back towards me. I tried to store from the datapad, but got the "You cannot store for 30 seconds" message, so I knew that my pet must be off somewhere in combat.

I looked around but was unable to find my pet, and was never able to store him. After about 10 minutes, I got a faction message stating that I had lost some Borvo faction, so I knew that somewhere my pet had managed to finish off a Borvo. Over the next half hour, I got 3 more such messages, and then I was finally able to store and recall the pet. He had about 1/4 of his health pool remaining. I bet that he had found a spawn of low level Borvos on the way back, and one of them looked at him funny...

I guess from now on I'll have to keep my creatures on a tighter leash, or at least instruct them to befriend anyone I send them off with, so they can issue follow commands!
