If there were only a single new addition to the pets list, it should be ch-only. Maybe not master level, but at least mid range CH. This would give us a much desired perk, and something new to be proud of.

Well to get this thread back on topic I would vote for flying creature for MCH only. Also make someof the bigger creatures mountable for CH only (Kimo's, Huf-Dun, Faamba etc). I'd also like to see a speed increase on some of the pets to be able to go as fast as a speeder bike (I like the cat idea for this).

When I reach MCH I'd love to be able to go overt, put onmy stormtrooper armor and ride into Anchorhead on the back of a Krayt Dragon

Riding a Peko Peko would be cool. 9 of us on one server could get together and be the Nazgul.

Okay, here are my 2 credits...we need 3 more mounts. First, we need a Tusk Cat as a nonCH mount. There are currently a bunch of Tusk Cat riders on Naboo, so it only makes sense. Have it be just a little bit slower than the x34. We need something to be able to sell again, and no one is going to buy a mount if they are slow as they are currently. Second, Peko Peko for CH only, have them as fast as a Speederbike with the Negotiation of a x34. And Third, Reptilian Fliers for MCH...as fast as a Swoop with the Negotiation of an x34.
In short, something to sell to non CHers, something as a reward for CHers, and something sweet for us MCHers. Maybe move the Peko Peko to MCH only (along with Fliers) and add another fast pet for the CHers, maybe a kliknik or dalyrake.

read to about the third pasge,, it's late, so i wanted to get a reply in while i'm still half awake.
other than being "cool", what use would a rancor be as a mount? it can't attack, you can't use specials, so that's combat out the window. they're slow as hell, so that's travel out the window.
i'm only a 2212ch at the minute, but the mounts are useless, except when my swop is nearly disabled, but i have an x34 for situations like that anyway so my razorcat can keep up.
what's really needed is a USEFUL mount, ch is already pretty cool, we need more substance instead of style. one of the cats, or a flying mount would be good, but it would also have to be viable in combat. something with good ham, armour and good resists, which woiuld mean one prbably for master ch only, but that'd be fine with me - something to work towards. not a rancor for me though, a rancor is a tank, not a transport vehicle

I think a mixture of all of the above. Maybe a type ofmount where the CH only version is bigger. Kind of like the Wasteland CuPa is a bigger variety of the regular CuPa. Something to stand out. Also I REALLY want CH to be able to use a special (any special) from the back of a mount. Or at least let the pet attack along with the rider. That would be something to distinguish us from non-CH characters. Mounted fighting. Now that would take away a lot of the pain of the previous hits our profession has taken.

My two highest priorities when it comes to mounts are economic viabilty and combat usefullness.
We need something non-CH's would be interested in (whether as utility mounts or ones that are just faster) to give us a market of some sort. As a MCH, I'd like to be able to make whatever money I need by actually selling creatures *gasp* instead of running around harvesting materials like a half-rate ranger. When it comes to non-CH, 'coolness' is the least of my worries. 'Cool' is nothing more than a trend and when the non-CHs realize they are useless, 'cool'will turn to ridicule - snickering at the fool who wasted his cash on something so useless.
As a Master, I would like a mount that can actually be of some use to me in battle. I could care less about flying or enormous mounts - I want something fast that can fight with me on its back and/or allow me to actually use my combat specialseven if means I have to take a hit to my accuracy.
More than anything, I want mounts that allow me to do mundane things while riding. Like talking to people, masking my scent, accessing mission terminals, etc...

a Flier and make it MCH only. gives a good reason to master the profesion.
