Drashk, update for your chart: At level 64 pets get 15 training points, not 16.

I found this with a rhoa kwi if anyone wants to verify.

Updated Vigorous Health:
(L1) = (Base Health) * 1.04 + 100
(L2) = (Base Health) * 1.08 + 250
(L3) = (Base Health) * 1.12 + 500

Based on my original calculation, and extrapolation by TuskenJedi here that matched what I was seeing up to that point. These are not cumulative. The highest level determines the health bonus, making a 'freebie' worth more than training the higher slots.

Marring Storm:
(L1) = 8% max damage increase
(L2) = 12% max damage increase
(L3) = 18% max damage increase

Marring Storm numbers courtesy of Xiao-an per this thread. My numbers were aggreeing with hers for L1 and L2 (I lack an L3 case). [There seems to be a bit of rounding, or damage comes in descrete levels, so these vary a bit.] Like Vigorous Health, the highest level determines the bonus.

Edit - It sounds like there is still a lot of discussion over Marring Storm. You might want to consider them preliminary until we can get a good sampling of increases.

what happens to all of the abilities that i have learned if i surrender creature handler skill? can i still train these things or is the ability lost? if the abilities are lost, would i be able to train them to a pet again if i were to re-acquire creature handler skill? or would i need to re-learn the abilites from scratch?

inquiring minds want to know

How do we know if thick skin works if we dont know which pets have armor?

Does L1 give them an initial level of armor or is it wasted on armorless pets?

Has anyone used vigorous health and actually seen an increase on the pets ham bar?

How specifically does lightning reflexes increase the pets defense? Is it related to accuracy?

Why does it show a pets abilities when examined from the data pad but only the attack abilities from the train menu?

How are we supposed to get these answers when we cant see what creatures actually have?

Do rangers and/or bioengineers see what we need to see? Why? Why not us?

Ok, do the dev's really put their shoes on before they put their pants on?

I mean, come on. How could they release this without giving us the ability to at least see what we're working with?

Especially after the creatures levels and armor and who knows what else, changed with the combat upgrade.

Anybody have any answers?

Daliyal, ex-Master AS, ex-Master Tailor, sadly, now half the Mon Cal he used to be as they took his abilty to be both a tailor and armorsmith, now armorsmith and regretfully weaponsmith

I've noticed that learning the pet ability is more than likely an increasing chance roll after each kill you and the pet make together.

For example: I had a mid-level pet that just went around killing a lot of grey-con mobs (for 1 CH & 1 training xp point). It taught the skill in ~ 50 kills.

A CL1 pet will earn combat xp at a max of 100pts per kill (mob kill ... lairs are different). It takes ~ 13 kills for a level at CL1 so by CL4, the pet would have made around 50 kills. Obviously the max xp per kill does not grow proportionately but the concept is the same.

If learning the pet ability is 0% chance with no kills but goes up by 1% w/ each kill, by 50 kills, you have a decent chance to learn the ability. This would explain why sometimes you learn the ability faster but almost always have it by pet level 4.

All pets have armor based on level (except very low CL. Get a BE pet, the deed shows it. Alternatively, have your pet fight something. Turn on detailed combat messages. If they message says your pets armor absorbed x% of the damage, you will know the before and after.

Does L1 give them an initial level of armor or is it wasted on armorless pets?

It's a multiplier, worthless on low-level non-armored pets.

Has anyone used vigorous health and actually seen an increase on the pets ham bar?

Yes, it works and immediately. It also updates the pets HAM in the datapad, including BE pets.

How specifically does lightning reflexes increase the pets defense? Is it related to accuracy?

Because onlly abilities that are triggered by command are in the train menu.

Huh?

Do rangers and/or bioengineers see what we need to see?

Like what? My ranger and BE could only see what kind of meat, hide etc. on the creature. I think everyone can see the CL when they target correct?

Why? Why not us?

Ok, do the dev's really put their shoes on before they put their pants on?
