WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED!!!!! Will someone ever let us know?? There is NOTHING on the Dev tracker apart from the message we got yesterday from 1 Dev. errrr, this is KINDA IMPORTANT!!! I know I'm not a Jedi but can you please help us

This change has made me buy Guildwars and actually try out a new MMORPG. If I like it better and the whole issue will not be resolved quickly, I will probably cancel my SWG account. The creature system there sucks. At least it works, not like a system I'm paying a monthly fee right now.

my answer how incompetant do you want the devs to be, im sure they could impress us even further in their continuing destruction of what was once a fantastic game, these guys broke me tkm so i respeced to rifles and master ch, i left the game to give meself a breather before thisand waited for cu to settle as i was exasperated at the divvy devs changes to game, i see i made a mistake in coming back, this ch problem had better be sorted by friday or im gonna finnaly delete swg from me pc, i stuck with you thru thick and thin guys even prayed that you'd see sense at the continual cok ups you been making, to the guy on a temp account dont bother its always like this, save yer money and buy wow untill november and have a look at dark and light or play wow till next yr and wait for lotr.


damn me if i was as bad at my own job as you guys are at yours laughing up your sleeves at us no doubt cause we had faith in you knowing also theres no chance of a refund for your breakage of contracts i would be in jail by now.


from a guild on infinity that was vibrant and fun to be with there are now 4live players left, the rest have gone leaving their chars sleeping for the rest of us to continue on, well divvy devs this is one less player NEVER coming back if this inexcusable cok up on ch isnt fixed asap, no excuses you say, my friend you have none for this.

I play regularly on test center, I have 6 full developed toons there, so I can help the game, which I have enjoyed for 2 years, get better.
Since the CU publish, my testing has consisted of either a few hours until a frog server was brought up, where I had to watch bugs like the BE/Tailor tissues not working, the Tailor/armoursmith factory crate issue, the armoursmith faction armour (and all biolinked items as it turned out) not get tested by people playing army duelling each other whilst my Master AS was in mothball on TC, and then have to endure those bugs on the live toons I actually pay for.
Or alternatively this publish Test center was left up, I tested away, mentioned the crafting bugs, such as new resources not displaying correctly or working as they should during the crafting process, the BE tissue problem still wasnt fixed, nor the factory crate colour bug.
Then I posted a bug that was potentially game breaking, all my master CH pets benig reduced to level 1(0) with 10 health.
that was 10 days ago.
I kept posting about these issues, right up until 5 hours before the publish went live, and I wasnt the only one.

Every one of them went straight to the live servers.
The CH one in particular is appalling, as it basically ends the game for CH until its fixed, the excuse was that it was thought to be fixed. That doesnt wash, or highlights an even worse problem.

I posted in the monday/tuesday bug thread, about 1 hour before the 'whats on deck' post saying that pets were still broken.

Now, if you assumed it was fixed as suggested, did you assume I, the CH correspondant and other players who posted there were lying, or is it that you dont actually read those bug threads at all.

It must be one or the other, if you honestly thought, as has been said to us in this quote , it had been fixed, there is no other explanation.


I would like an answer, as to why should I continue to take the time to play on TC to help the game, if what I find there and bug is going to impact my live server toons regardless.

And what steps are going to be taken to rectify what is quite obviously a huge issue with both data collection and QA, not to mention customer relations and simple communication.

In short, I want to know what you are changing , right now, to stop this problem of a game breaking bug hitting live servers from happenning again.

Ok im not english and my english its no so well and this its my frist post in that forums and i play for a year the game but today i feel so mad with what happen in that game.


First im not a child im 30 years old Father and to pay the game i need to have lots of fights wiht my wife LOL.I stay 4 moyhns whiout play for a health reason when im back to game i see the CU lol so funny all my friends left the game my guild desert and nobody of the old ppl playing the game,ok i try to play the game and see what happen and my firts impresion its i dont like the game,but i give the game a second oportunity and i try to do CH and yeah i like so much the profesion i like walking for the planets and tame pets and look for the more strongers to tame,really funny and happy to me,i love so much be CH,i have 4 characters 2 in infinity and 2 in naritus and i have 1 CH in each server i say i love the ch profesion but now SOE devs destroy our profesion our hard work i wish we have the fix fast and soem compensation for the CH like have pets till level 80 like the maximun level of the players (i dont understand why pets till level 70 when all the players its level 80),or soem new tamable pets like a klicknik or a new mountable pet like a PEKO-PEKO or a Mountable KIMOGLIA and please i want my level 65 VAractyl back Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee.

First, thanks JFreeman for posting and giving us a status update so quickly.


However, as others have already pointed out, this message hints that there was at least one other CH-crippling bug that nearly made it out the door. While I am happy that one bug was caught, I am appalled at the lack of patch testing that has gone into SWG since the CU. Only in a game, and certainly only in one witha 'no refund' policy such as SWG, could these types of practices continue the way they do. In any other industry, hell - in any other type of software - such horrible treatment of PAYING CUSTOMERS would result in a class-action lawsuits.


SOE: You cannot continue to publish in this manner and expect your paying customers to just accept it because of a 'no refund' policy. Sooner or later, someone will get angry enough take you to court. Similar 'agreements' have been cancelled by the courts because of this kind of abuse. I don't want this to happen, because the most likely outcome will be to scrap the game, and even with my busted-ass MCH/Ranger I enjoy playing SWG.


So, PLEASE review your patch-release and software testing policies, overhaul them as needed and fix your management problems. Get this game back on track and make it a game worth playing again.


EDIT: If I sound pissed, I believe I have a right to be. Nearly all of the professions are broken in some major way, and more stuff gets broken with each patch. If the creatures in our datapads are permanently borked, then it will be the third time it's happened in 90 days. If Windows was this broken, you'd be writing SWG for Linux instead. SO: Call a towtruck, hook the chain to your ears, and yank your heads out of you collective asses, and get this game FIXED.


EDIT 2: I expect that I'll get banned for a while for mentioning the word 'lawsuit'. Heh - martyrdom.

You guys have managed to screw up every single publish you have put out in the latest months. When are you going to get it into your skulls that your current system does NOT work? Every single patch has been 1 step forward and 2 steps back in some way or another. This is getting ludicrous now, there is absolutely no reason for this to have happens. USE the test server properly, do a mock publish on a replication of one of the highest population servers and test it some more! The SWG development team has pushed the line farther and farther back on what is acceptable as Pay to Play and what is "beta".

and now yet again double experience is ticking by while people are unable to take advantage of it. Lets see, for the CU which we were given double experience for missions were so bugged you couldn't GET experience because they were vanishing the moment you got there. That was so generous of you, throwing out that double experience week bone to make yourselves look good to the stockholders after the nightmare of the CU push that was way to early. Double experience has never been for the players, if it was you would give it too us when we can actually USE it.

I see your words, but all I hear is blah-blah-blah.


It's the same old crap all over again. Same sorry developers, same major bugs, same "we're sorry" reply. Sorry means you will try not to do it again, not an excuse for continuing to do it all over again.


Unless you use the other definition of sorry, in that case, I agree. The developers are sorry indeed.

Ok i want this fix done fast,... but due to history tends to happen over and over if nothing is learned from the mistakes ( the SOE way, mistakes never learned from) i feel the need to mention please test said fix before you throw that live lol...would be a good start don't you think ? lol also this bug did give me another idea to help us in PVP, fix us and do it to all the other combat professions lol j/k :-), not really, no my idea from this is to remove the max pet lvl system as it is now, insted , use max pet lvl still as a guide on what a CH can tame/call out at the diffrent lvls of CH, but don't set us to being able to call upto a lvl 70 pet or any combination = lvl 70, insted use the pet lvls just simply as that what you can call out, for example , if a CHs max pet lvl was lvl 70 as a master CH, let them call out 3 lvl 70 pets, or a lvl 70/lvl 65/lvl 65 if they wanted just use pet lvls as a form to measure a CH ability on what they can tame and call out only, not have a cap on total called pet(s) lvls. (i'm checking this one for typos, butfor the record lol I AM the king of typos lol, and looking back at all my past posts lol my reign is secure lol)

Thanks for the response...even though I highly doubt you will read this or any of the posts in here as that would mean you aren't working on a fix or other needed fixesbut spending useless time reading posts on this forum. Thanks also to the BE/DE/CH correspondants for keeping this issue flaggedduring test phase and getting a dev to actually take some time to post something.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to the CH community. This is probobly the worst bug to hit the game (since I've been playing anyway...) I only have the varactyl from the DD, and this bug is driving me nuts, I can't imagine how bad it is for the Creature Handlers......
