I'd just like to say, great guide, and also, I've seen someone with a pet that was way bigger than normal, so I know it can be done.
The large pets are a post-cu thing where if a BE makes a pet that is lvl5 in the wild into a lvl50 it will be huge.

Some things are outdated. Any chance of you updating to reflect new CH changes?
Yes.
Here, I have a little miscellaneous blurb for you.

For those of you that like to have a more roleplayish aspect to your character and pets, you can spice things up a lot more using aliases.
For instance, my pet nightspider is named Tyyrka. And rather than spamming the screen and my group with.. "Attack", I prefer to use "Help me out, Tyyrka!" So, rather than chancing typoing this while inputting it as a say, I created a simple alias for it.
The use of alias is as following.
/alias <name of command> <what the command actually does>
So, if I want to alias "Help me out, Tyyrka!" to /kill.. I type..
/alias kill /say Help me out, Tyyrka!
So now, whenever I type /kill.. the game inputs /say Help me out, Tyyrka!
And since I have /say Help me out, Tyyrka! bound as my kill trigger.. it attacks then.
Now other than the RP ramifications, this is also good because you aren't typoing or having to find additional toolbar slots for macros for saying these things. Nothing like a bad typo in the middle of a heated battle.
So fellow CH's, stop spamming your parties with Attack, follow, group. Use a little creativity and make your character come alive even further.
I think my bantha is buggedHis name is poodoo and he won't grow anymore for some reason...I've been grinding w/ him for about three weeks now...still can't get him any bigger for some reason
has anyone run into this problem lately and know how to solve this? This almost makes me want to drop CH entirely to go into something else.

If you don't want to name all your pets the same name, and use standard commands for all your pets, you can change the four commands that you used to name him after he is named.
You first name the pet by teaching him four commands using /tellpet (pet name) (command name): /tellpet Fluffy stay, /tellpet Fluffy attack, /tellpet Fluffy get yer butt over here!, /tellpet Flurry go away, etc. (the command name really makes no difference at this point. You can use any phrase and use the same phrase for all fourcommands, since you are going to change it after he is named. I use the word "test" so that I know that it isn't a permanant command. /tellpet Fluffy test, /tellpet Fluffy test, /tellpet Fluffy test, etc)
Once he is named you just retrain him the four commands you used to name him into your standard commands without inserting his name using /tellpet (command name): /tellpet stay, /tellpet attack, /tellpet come, /tellpet get lost!,etc.
Also, the use of /tellpet instead of /say is better in combat for two reasons. The first is that you dont' spam your group with commands to your pet since it is a "silent" command and not visible to either you, or your groupmates, and the second is that /tellpet has a greater range than /say. A pet that istoo far away to respond to the /saycommand to Follow Me, might respond to the /tellpet command.
