Thread: Fellow Creature Handlers, what do YOU want to see out of the combat upgrade?

Yanno, I like this mobile home thing. I once saw a guy get roasted in here for recruiting for a roving guild on some server or another. So the point is that this would fit a niche. Not a large one mind you but roleplayers. For a game developed with little to no content other than it takes place in a familiar setting and players have had to make content this is cool.
What I like most about it is the fact people would make a few less eye-sore cities. Or at minimum one less city per server. But to be the bringer of bad news this is the CURB not the lets add something new to CH revamp. We have tons of stuff we want and are less likely to see it before 2008 at the current rate of profession revamps.
Anyway if all the good ideas that CH want were put on a CD and sold for 19.95 I would be the first to buy it. Corral Plan, PSP's, Mobile Homes, Pet Armor.
FPS, Devs. I personally would settle for some shogun-ish type armor that was just for looks and no damage reduction.

I agree, is totally useless the amount of skills points that we have to waste. We are supposed to be a elite class, but we dont receive an adequate compensation for our skills points, no advantages at all.
And second, yes, why is supposed to be the CH xp in the FS senses? non sense again, are wean elitecombatclass or not? And also the only FS branch that is useful for us is survival, and guess what, our xp is useless to reach that fs skills ![]()

I know what I would like to see in the CU for CH
More and more varied tamable pets.
Less stupid things said while taming them lol. I feel like such an idiot while taming 
Specials need to work. And Personally, I dont think they should be commands. The animals will automatically use their special abilities. Its what they do.
More animations. More "Triggerable" animations, such as when we pet our critters. Add sounds too. Like when you pet a cat, add a purr effect. When you pet a Kimo, add a hiss noise. Etc.
Give us the ability to name our pets at novice. I realize the need to name our pets is a prime drive for our first skill box, but lets think, we're already going for that skill box anyway. Add a new command at novice, like "Sit" or "rest" for regeneration purposes. Like when a player sits. When a player sits, their regeneration goes up slightly. A similar command for critters at novice would be of great help, and allow naming.
Armor! I remember a time, last year sometime, then the devs released notes mentioning they were tossing around the idea for pet armor. Nothing ever came of it. Maybe with this revamp, the issue could be revisited?
Stat migration for pets. I know I would love to be able to migrate my pets stats sometimes. Some things I attack go after particular HAM bars, and I would like to be able to adjust my pets stats to deal with this. Also, It would allow "natural" pets to compete with BE pets as people could buff up the HAM.
Doc buffs specifically for pets, or maybe Bio Engineer buffs for pets. The ability to take a natural gnort from 500 HAM to 2500 for a few hours would be of tremendous help. It would allow me to go after critters other than other gnorts, and level faster. (Side note. Animals are usually hardier than humanoids, and their buffs should reflect their ability to tolerate stronger drugs by having higher stats for a shorter time. On Naritus, a player can get 24-2500 for 4 hours. How about +3200 for 3 hours?)
The ability to Image Design a pet. Most BE pets have more than one color. Most pets in the wild have more than one color. It would be kind of nice to be able to choose my pets color and size. Just a thought.
I think thats about all. Hope you can use anything I posted.

couple ideas....
#1 Creatures/pets should auto defend any thing that attacks it's master, and/or it's master's vehicle. What's more frustrating than a pet (of any kind) that just stands there when your incapped, and doesn't even help when your about to get a DB? The idea that a pet would not be smart enough to assist its master in his or her greatest time of need is a real CH drawback and worse, unrealistic.
#2 Creatures/pets should keep up with all vehicles. Nuff said. "Hurry up allready!!!"
#3 Creatures/pets should be able to attack when mounted.
#4 Make more creatures mountable please! Especially ones that can fly. How awsome woud it be to fight while on a huge reptile?

I want to be able to call three Great Sludge Panthers or combinations of cats - come 'on fellow MCH wouldn't that be really cool?
Armor for my pets - it would help the littlecritters with no type of hide armor.

- faster regeneration of HAM
i have to spend stims for about 3k for my pets after a fight. please make them regenerate faster, maybe in a camp only.
- armor for pets crafted by artisans
this helps pets to survive a bit better and adds interaction of artisans and CHs
- remove vitality
its sad to see your pet die. some may argue that its like taking away a market for BEs but i think a lot of CHs will still buy new pets just because they like to have a new one.
- craftable bags by artisans for pets
i would love to have a nice pet with bags like the bantha instead of a droid with 10 storage
- let either IDs or BEs change the colour of pets
- make the saddle customizable/craftable by artisans
- make pets faster
it always makes me sad when i see a hunting group in eisley with mounts, everyone gets the missions, mounts get stored and the swoops pop out. make pets like the carrion spat as fast as swoops and something like a bantha maybe as fast as an x34
- loot drops for pets
i can see CAs and AAs for all fighting professions on the trade forums. has anyone seen a CA with creature to hit yet? or with creature damage? creature attack speed? duration of embolden?

make something placeable on a large pet like a fambaa or malkloc looking like some mobile merchant tent but as a private house for 75 items. you can tell the pet then to lay down place it like a house until you log out. it will look like a camp and add a ladder to the side of the pet so you can climb it and enter it.
if someone thinks im crazy... maybe i am

I agree with all your suggestions. I have heard the house thing mentioned before, but, what if it was a type of camp that we could place on larger creatures allowing us for a period of time to have a small group ride the creature and obtain healing bonus' like a regular camp. ?? I think that is a cool idea.

I was thinking about a few things and made a list.
1. MCH's should be able to call pets during battle.
2. MCH's should be able to make any pet mountable (limit 2 pets and only useable by the person who made it a mount)
3. MCH's should be able to control higher than lvl 70 pets.
4. MCH's Should be able to teach they're pets more abilities (like area attack)
5. CH pets should be WAY stronger! ( A tkm shouldnt be able to take out our rancors without breaking a sweat )
6. MCH's Should be able to teach more than two tricks. ( I really enjoy having my pets do tricks they are cool
)
7. Pets should have better AI so they do more stuff on thier own. ( like when they are just sitting there they should start playing or something wouldnt you be bored if you were just sitting there )
8. Pets need to have armor! ( that would be so awsome.. maybe give our pets sizes so there is differnt types of armor for differnt size pets. IE a huurton would be a size 1 having some sort of armor. and I say only lvl 12 creatures and up can wear armor.. or its a skill for MCH's like Equip armor and then you select the pet and armor that way the non ch uber lvl 10 pets cant be even more uber that way if someone wants a good armored pet they must be a ch. )
Eh... thats all I can think ofat the moment.I will post more ideas later. ( I know alot of these have been said, but alot of these should happen! )
