well for taming for exp, tame every baby u find around cities

for the skills, well i dunno really atm, cause we need to see how the nerf patch will change us in game, but normally management line first if u want to exp.

taming line now i guess if u want bigger pets for fun.

One of your two slots should be for a savage 10-15 challenge level pet like a cu pa or wrix, to use against small-medium mobs for CH XP from combat.

The other slot should probably be for the tame-train-release grind.

I'mviolating this rule of thumb right now...I have a greater sludge panther and a wrix...the wrix for the small-medium mobs and getting CH XP off of combat, but the gsp I use for hunting with friends for larger game, whichis earning me the lion's (or the gsp's) share of CH XP right now.Since I spend most of my playing time with friends and very little time on my own just running around taming, it makes sense for me.

You'll need to sort this out based upon your playing style; this works good for me, and my hunting companions absolutely depend on me and my gsp for their own goals. Which makes my choice, even though it violates the rule of thumb, best for me. If you are out soloing a lot, the one retained pet for hunting and one slot for tame-train-release would be the best route.

Also if you successfully tame a baby you get 100 xp for successful taming + 300 xp for teaching it the3 basicnovice CH commands (attack, follow, store).= 400xp total. As you go up the training and management boxes you gain more commands to teach amounting up to around 1100xp per creature. If you prefer to fight with your pet, you need to fight something that is the same or higher lvl than your pet if you fight trivial things you'll only get 1 creature handler xp.

I'm to CH and i'm looking for a good way to get started. I've tried to tame a few things so far but wasn't able to, what does someone who just got CH start by training. Please any suggestions or tips would really be great.

Stick to the starter planets for now (Correlia, Naboo, Tatooine)

A good starter pet would be a Cupa (Tatooine) and a rock beetle (tatooine)

Then, hunt around the cities for around 100 ch per kill. That should get you started.

Yep it's painful isnt it

Best thing to do - go find/tame some of the better low level pets, ie, Mountain Krevol etc (easily Tameable from Naboo) and grab a couple of those.

Then go and try to buy a fully grown pet (Mountain Krevol, Cowardly Gurreck, Rock Beetle) from a CH in your nearest town - run off and hunt with that until your pets are fully grown and effective.

It's usually pretty easy to find someone selling those low level pets, and it's a lot quicker than waiting for your newly tamed babies to grow. Also the ones you buy will also often have the empathy tricks already taught to them, so you don't need to worry about not having pet stims to regen their mind pool.

i can see now why ch is so popular. well i just got novice ch and about to qualify for my first lvl skill. i think the best way to go is 1-0-0-0. i think this will give me max lvl of pet 25 is this correct? i am going to be using my pet primarily to attack mob while i shoot from a distance (likely will doing gulamas). what pet is recommended? i really have no idea but i would guess one with an armor ratings and high ham since ill be doing the shooting the dam is not that important. any recomendations will be greatly appreciated, also if you have one of these suggested pets for sale trained and ready to go please leave a quote on the price and location of shop or when we can meet. i am hoping to get it early tomorow morning so i can gather as much wooly hide as possible so i can grind on armorsmith in the evening. thanks.

Ok I was a CH once before but I know there have been alot of changes since then..

Ive read the faqs and things like that... but this is still a newbie question... I hope it doesnt upset too many people too much lol...

Is there a point where a lower level creature doesnt get more xp for killing a higher cl creature...

example... would a level 3 krettle get more xp for killing a CL 25 than a level 15 carion spat?

Hope someone can help me out with this...

Thanks very much!

I have a char that is lvl 3/2/1/1 in CH. IPurchased a lvl 62 Kimo when he was 12(62) and used him a bit till he got to high for me to call. I have looked at some posts and people are saying that CH's can't call some Kimo's now. How do I know if I will be able to call my Kimoor check before buying another one?
