Greetings

I have been wanting for sometime now wanted to create a community standard of what pets that are currently tamable are the best. I have pondered about this for awhile now and after taming all the pets that are out there have based my choices on the following:

Difficulty in acquiring

Quality of pet

Here are my top 5

1. Bull Rancor

2. Great Plains Stalker

3. Arachne Widow

4. Mantigrue Screecher

5. Gurreck

Under the current system I think those are the best as they all have something that is unique and under the current system of tamable pets is the best. Please feel free to post your top 5 and remember this list is based on all pets that are currently tamable in the game.

I agree that the battlelord has better resists. The deaths'head does have 2 unique features.

i think the gurreck deserves consideration..it's relative ease to aquire, and it's speed, small size and decent resists, make it the best wild "cheap" cat in the game...for the huge difference in rarity, the GPS has only marginally better stats

My experience with the Gaping Spiders is that they run. All of them. Queens, Hunters, what have you. Not that I blame them a bit. If I get down to less than 100 HAM, I'm running too, hehe. But they run back to me! That's my gripe. Run somewhere else and let me keep shooting. So...much as I love them, the Gaping Spiders I have are not my best overall pets. Though I will say when I pull them out in town, no one messes with me. Lol. They are psychologically very intimidating to look at.

I think # 5 The Mereks Death Head Is over rated and should be replaced with his cousin The Toxic Merek Battlelord which is alround a better Merek!

Thought the same about the GPS. But this rating also includes "Difficulty in acquiring". And since the MDH is very hard to get...

I agree with Ultron. I think the value-as-a-petrating of the TMB far outweighs the rarity rating of the MDH. So IMHO, that list is pretty good, but I'd just replace the one Merek for the other.
