Thread: strongest pet
are you talking about wild pets orwild pets that can be tamed or BE pets?
Be's can't make Merreks so the King merrek is a wild pet like the Frenzied.
BE's can put the dna into any skin so you don't need to use a kimo or a rancor. Personally I hate them since they both take too much screen space but & they can't keep up with me on my speeder. I think the frenzied is probaby the toughest right now, it does the most damage with the best kinetic resists you can have in a pet right now. The best BE kinetic is 60% and the Frenzied has 65% I think & it also does 600 damage. Now I hate them since again, they take up too much screen space, causing some lag, they run from fights sometimes (they dance) and they can't keep up with my speeder. I love my BE Gurrecks, they have light armour, 60% kinetic, they are small & they keep up with my X35 speeder. I can also have 2 of them out (CL34 & CL36) at the same time.

BE's do have a merek skin
and between BE and Frenzied, straight up, frenzied IS a better pet. Better stats by a bit, but still better.

Since all creatures are 'generic' anything higher level would be stronger.
All of these should be able to handily defeat a Kamurith Defiler provided each were equipped with identical special abilities.
ancient reptilian flier CL68
angler recluse CL68
blood-frenzied boar wolf CL68
craggy bolma CL70
gaping spider hunter CL69
giant angler CL68
kinad baz nitch CL69
lurking shear mite CL69
mature reptilian flier CL69
reclusive shear mite CL70
shear mite CL69
shear mite soldier CL70
young reptilian flier CL69
Any BE pet over CL60 or so
^^^
That's the kinda crazy thing about the CU...
- We have armour, which reduces damage taken
- We have To Hit and Defence modifiers, which reduce (or increase) damage taken
- We have the CL difference modifiers, which (guess what) reduce (or increase) damage taken

I didn't mean to imply that all creatures of the same CL have identical stats. While there are examples of creatures that have IDENTICAL stats, that obviously isn't the case for the majority. In these pets you'll find very slight differences in health, damage, etc. But nothing too dramatic.
Here's an example of 3 creatures with the same CL:
#1 Gaping Spider Hunter 165 to-hit 404 max damage 6394 health
#2 Mature Reptilian Flier 165 to-hit 396 max damage 6648 health
#3 Kinad Baz Nitch 170 to-hit 399 max damage 6450 health
#1 Dishes out more damage than #2 or #3 but has less health than either.
#2 Has the most health but has less damage than #1 and #3 and lower to-hit than #3
#3 Has higher to-hit than #1 or #2 But has less damage than #1 and Less health than #2
So which one of these is the better pet????
The one with the skin that the Creature handler likes.
I have not seen any pet that has any distinct advantage over any other pet. I want to see it, but I don't believe it exists.
The way the system is set up, an unmodified pet we will see very little distinction between two equal lvl pets, it's when we put on the same armor, damage specials on the two different pets will we start to see a bigger distinction between them due to stats. That is when we're likely to see the stonger pet. However even then the distinction between the two is more than likely to remain small that there will never likely be a clear overall winner.
From the times I have duked out a pet with a wild counterpart with no interferance from me, there has always been one winner by more than a small margin, I believe there is still a "king of the jungle" out there. HOwever there are just a multitude of contenders for the title.
A lot of people like the stoneskin hanadak, not because it is the best pet, far from it, being an AOE pet it causes a bucket load of problems in a group that isn't geared around AOE attacks. Stoneskin is only popular cause the babies are difficult to find and is the only non-lair spawn AOE pet (I think there may be another one but not sure).
