Thread: I am now one of the few, the proud
I join the ranks of all the great CH's who spoke out
Tivo
Pluto
Sky
but now I am back and well unimpressed by the CU.
Yes we will get some respect back (and whatever respec is)
But it's too little too late.
I have played with the CU, on the low side it seems to help balance things out. On the other side they took an amazeingly complex and fasinateing system and dumbed it down.
There were so many things they could have done to change the current system without loseing it's essence (get rid of the I can incap me before you can part) but instead they eliminated what made SWG different.
I do see good comming out of the CU, but I see it as a downgrade not a upgrade.

Yup the more I play it the less I like it.
and you left a couple of names out lol. But you are in good company on that list
If it helps I think me and meuw have ruffled a few feathers in your absence lol
You do realise now that you made the "Black List" that anything you say can and will be used against you in any debate they (powers that be) choose to ignore but lurk in.
Well welcome back
For what its worth I'm thinking of dropping TC, not really worth my time if I cant grind mch before its live. CH is "THE" only reason I signed on. and in my daily diary thread and in one of Jokers theres a link to a nice thread explaining the new lvl system. I can only hope they listen, yea hope is such a repeated word here.
I have been contemplating leaving, I waited too long and have been too dissapointed to often.
Unfortunatly even if I hit the cancel button I'm screwed, i lost track of the date and was automatically renewed for 6 months, didn't notice it till the bill came. I called SOE by phone and had the auto renew shut off, they dont reimberse you so I'm stuck here till September whether I like it or not, my second account got renewed for 3 months so thats a little easier to swallow. Oh well its my fault for not paying attention.
If things don't improve between now and then I'l save my credits like an old miser lol. then dump them into a couple of houses and retire from the game. I said it once before but ya know something I am reaching the point where I don't care anymore, as soon as I stop caring completely there will be no reason to stay. Hell all my friends are gone and I mean all of them. one pops in once every 3 months for a week then goes lol.
damn I'm babbling, guess its because you of all people my good talon can understand where I am coming from.
Welcome back
i'm with you man, i don't feel compelled to try to make the curb tolerable..some feel it is a personal goal to make ch a worthy stand alone combat profession, and as admirable as that task is, who really cares if the rest of the game isn't worth playing? when it comes down to it, if it's fun we play, if not we don't..at least from my perspective
so far the curb is anything but fun..
I have faith in the CU.
If it fails, it fails, I'll still have my comerades, friends, and guildies.
If it suceeds I shall rejoice.
I don't see a point in such negativity. I frankly don't mind bieng a newbie with everyone else, and eventualy things will get to the point they are now, people will know how to use the system too well, and things will change again.
I feel things are already over simplified, as a TKM all I ever need to use is center of bieng, knockdown, and unarmed head hit, or hit 3.
That's three profession specific attacks. That's what TKMs are going to end up with around anyway.
Maybe they should make some non CU servers.
Hope is the last to die
there areissues with the level system, but its been changed at least twice in the last 4 days, so Im not passing judgement yet on that.
the rest , to me, is more fun. As a master rifleman on live, I use 2 , maybe 3 of my available 16 or so special attacks , due to either duplication (startle/surprise) or some just being obsolete(headshot 1, 2).
On CU, Im still using placed shot during the longer cooldown of my high power attacks, and aggro management seems a harder more tactical thing now, which to me at least is an improvement.
The Ch stuff, its really difficult to say, Ch is a profession that, more than any other really, can only be properly judged at master.
Not because of power, but because i havent got enough commands available to be able to fight as I do on live, Ill keep grinding away, but i dont think Ill be able to pass any sort of judgement until we are allowed to use the frogs for master.
High end needs a lot of testing, so I do hope they give it enough time.
