Thread: Known Issues with this Test Center Version, 7.22.05:
Grouping
* Added a new way to calculate group experience point (XP) bonuses. Experience Points (XP) are now divided by the total number of people in your group with an additional bonus for being grouped with other players. We will be testing out the group experience and currently group XP is set lower then we expect it to be set at.
If grouping no longer provides significant advantages in XP grinding over solo work, then CH as a solo or group PvE profession may actually gain some lustre.
Example 1: Let's assume that the EXP bonus is 10% per additional group member ( e.g. 70% for a full party of 8 ).
Party 1: 4MCHs, 4 L70 pets. EXP = Value / 4 * 140% = 35% of total critter value per member.
Party 2: 8 chars. EXP = Value / 8 * 170% = 21% of total critter value per member.
Example 2: Let's assume that the EXP bonus is a flat 25% bonus to EXP for being grouped.
Party 1: 4MCHs, 4 L70 pets. EXP = Value / 4 * 125% = 31.25% of total critter value per member.
Party 2: 8 chars. EXP = Value / 8 * 125% = 15.625% of total critter value per member.
For anything but really high-end stuff, I'd rather have the L70 pet along than another L70-L80 character. Less power, definitely, but the pet won't steal my EXP.

Exactly my thinking. I want to entertain the idea that this means they are working on pet AI, but we won't know until Tiggs puts it "on deck".
Would it really matter if pet commands no longer worked? It's not like using pets in battle is viable anymore since the last publish, so would you really miss telling your pet to attack and then having 3-4 other lvl 82 mobs come rushing at you?
Although, I guess we wouldn't be able to have our pets do tricks in cities now, which is all we really have at the moment,,,

I'm not freaking out over it because they did acknowledge it before we had to rub their nose in it, for once. I must say though, I burst out laughing when I read it the first time. My secretary came running over to see if I was okay. ![]()
What exactly did they do that completely turned off pet commands?
