I didn't see this being talked about in here after glancing over the first few pages. My apologies if there is already a discussion about this somewhere, and I was just too blind to see it.

I was browsing around the Bio-Engineer board, and found this thread

Apparently, the new pets that BEs are crafting are growing to a size that matches the creature level of the pet - not just one standard size. Examples:

Not sure if this change was intended or not, but personally, I think it is very cool. I like the idea of having pets of different sizes, rather than one clone of a pet that looks like every other pet. I mean, that razor cat is just too cool. I'd love to see what a level 70 looks like.

The only problem they seem to be having is that the level 10 mounts are so small, that they can no longer be trained as mounts.

A small level Eopie

Uh...It would be nice to be able to have size varience controlable. Personally I would like to have a level 70 pet that was very small...I think it gets annoying hunting in mountainous terrain with a large pet....it gets kinda hard to see. Plus sending in a very small low level pet is fun when the little durni creeps up on someone and puts a huge bite on him. heheh.

But I have to admit...tha cat looks cool!!!

The other issue this raises...are CL10 (non-ch) animals large enough to be mounts? I haven't tested myself, but I am curious to see the size of a CL10 Dewback...

You can do this now, with lesser dewbacks which are level 5 critters.

Nothing quite like a wookiee riding around on a lesser dew.

I've long felt that only CHs should be able to ride around on "full sized" critters, and the fact that the BE skins of mount critters grew to full size, without regard to their level, bothered me.

If you want to ride around on a cool, large creature, you should pay the price in skill points.

When I first went MCH with Eavik, I always loved the big pets. I only carried around pets like Ravenous Tortons, Maklocs, Kimos, Rancors, etc. So I'm loving this change...it gives me a whole new group of BIG pets to try out that I normally wouldn't have ever bothered with.

Wonder what a Level 70 mounted Bantha or Dewback would look like. Man, I can't wait till I get my new character up to speed to start trying these out.

I think it's horrible. This makes it so basically bigger is better, period. It's unrealistic, too. Sure one Gurrcat can be bigger than others, but not like that. That's just silliness.
I plan on having a couple of hounds, and I Definitely do not want them to be cartoonishly big just because they're not level 10 anymore.

And an Eopie the size of a shoe? Come on now...
Eopies are like camel, cow thingies.. I'm sure they're supposed to be a lot bigger when they're babies.. like horses and stuff.
I hope it's a mistake.

SWG: Attack of the ankle biters!!!

It was a dark time for CH's

With all the bugs and nerfs thrust upon them

The devs had one last mission to turn them into a laughable profession

Anklebiter pets

These pets are so small when they attack they appear as if they are chewing

the ankles of their target To futher add insult to injure the devs then hid

behind their catch phrase:

Everything is working as intended.................
