I didn't really see anything like that in the CH FAQ up top.
Can anyone point me to this info or post here?
I'm looking for information on the lines ofwhat exactlyto kill and with what to grind up the ladder in quick amount of time.
Thanks in advance.

Not to be a party pooper or anything, buuut...
Honestly, unless you are trying to holo grind before Publish 10, why bother power grinding? Don't make ia chore, have fun with it. Go to tatooine, get some missions for Zucca Boars and Cu Pas, blast the hell out of them and get your scouting exp by pulling bone and hide, tame all the babies you can find. Do this till you get your first couple boxes, then goto SWGcreatures.com and see what you can do then. Don't make is a chore, cause half the fun is getting to your destination, not trying to get there warp speed.
but the above info is good if you want to do grinding but dont' want to think about it.

I totally agree with Wallach. I just started playing SWG a few weeks ago and I'm glad Jedi is beyond my grinding grasp.
I'm having plenty of funworking on Master Fencer with Brawler minimum, Master CH with the Scout minimum, and Medic (4430). Personally I think CH is the most exciting profession in SWG besides Jedi, regardless of what alot of people are saying in these threads (although I would like to see some of the changes they have suggested).
Forget the xp grind...just have fun!

There technically isn't a way to "grind" CH. I know people will dispute that, as I have seen people do it, but I will not give out what I saw, sorry.
CH is not a profession, it is an experience. This is something that can be enjoyed from Novice to Master. There is not need to grind. Play the profession, and enjoy it. Do not rush it, this is something that needs to come slowly and with great appreciation for what it is.
If you are indeed looking to Holo this, then I have nothing more to say to you. Nothing against you in particular, but in the words of my Rodian /BAH "Jedi, who needs them?"
I love playing my Jedi hating Rodian. ![]()

Get a reasonable pet of some kind and join a sharnaff group in Coronet. Wait for each naff to get about half life, then send in the pet. Don't send it in too early or it will get aggro. With a level 10 pet you get about 494 xp per kill, and about 5-8 naffs per lair, if not more.

well I would tell you how I did it except they've changed the prof quite a bit since my CH grinding days. You used to get xp for each creature that participated in the kill... so the idea was to get management up so that oyu could have 2 little critters killing for double xp....that's out now from what I've read.
Also, high level creatures as babies used to be counted as very weak creatures...even though they had disproportionately high HAM and damage for their CL. So you could mop stuff up with them no problem and get massive xp.....that's been changed now too I think.
Anyway, it probably won't work as well as it did when I was grinding, but here's a tactic you might want to try.
1) get a low level pet with a ranged attack. cu pa's and carrion spats come to mind (CL 10 or 11 I think)
2) go to a city that has tons and tons of whimpy creatures on the outskirts. I was on rori most of the time, by restuss. But many cities are good for this. Grab a hunting mission for one of the most common types of critters that surround the city (will probably have to un equip your gun and not have pets grouped)
3) Make some macros that tell your pet to attack, pause a couple seconds, then fire, pause, then harvest.
4) Then go on a massacre around the city. Usually, there are several static spawn areas around each part of the city. If you can find 3 or 4 that are close to each other, you can move from one to the next and the first one will be back up by the time you're finished.
WARNING this is obviously BOOOOOOOOOOORING. But it's pretty good scout and ch xp. It's also very easy to do solo and very safe.
Another method is to just to group up with some high powered friends that are going hunting on an adventure planet. Take that low level pet with a ranged attack and tell it to use it's ranged attack when the animal is almost dead. This way it won't get any aggro and you'll get a LOT of xp for hitting a high level beast with your little cu pa.
If you're also grinding scout remember to harvest everything in sight and throw traps at everything that moves.
Hope this helps.

Geo cave on Yavin. I mastered CH in two days there. just be sure theres a large group there and just staynear the entrance. The bigger the group (try to have everyone in one group) the more protection you get (d'uh) and the Geo's (can't remember how to spell there real names right now lol) will respawn faster (like every few seconds). Pluspet lvl affects how much XP you get. With a lvl 12 pet I was getting 1200 XP however with a lvl 4 BE pet I had I was only getting 565 xp which I thought was very strange. So use different pets and just send them in to attack DO NOT ATTACK THE GEO'S YOURSELF. If the group is big enough you never have to worry about being targeted (unless you attack as well) and your pet should do just fine. Ranged pets also work AWESOME and mine hardly ever took damage.

Just level it while you're leveling other skills (like your fighting skills). There isn't really a way to "grind" it that I'm aware of.
My friend and I both completed Master Creature Handler maybe six months ago. He started before me and worked on it for several weeks before he finally hit master. I trained up and got Novice CH just as a bug came into the game that allowed you to pull out 10 pets at once and get experience for each one of them. I mastered CH in three nights of casual playing (3-4 hours per night) and hit Master the night before they fixed the bug. There were a lot of other people that did the same thing as me. For a while I felt like I didn't pay my dues but guess what, I'm still a MCH and many of them have moved on to other professions. I absolutely love the profession and wouldn't drop it for anything.
It's worth the "grind" in my opinion. You'll learn a lot about the profession while you're leveling. When you finally hit MCH, you'll know what your doing, as opposed to when I hit MCH and had no freakin' clue what I was doing.

you can't grind CH.
It's a long laborious process made longer by Dev Nerfs.
The only difference it the personal satisfaction at the end of mastering it cause you actually have to learn the profession instead of just master it in 45 min.

I concur with the majority of the folks here. There really isn't a way to grind CH outside of TTR (tame-train-release) IMHO. But I remember back when I first started up the CH profession, I thought I'd never make it to master and if I did I would hate it by the end. I was wrong on both points, I love being a CH and the time spent making it to master taught me to appreciate the profession. No matter how much they nerf it or frustrating it is to find those rares, I'll never consider giving up my hard work to earn the title of Master Creature Handler (or Ranger either but that's for another area.)

I don't think he wants to be a CH rather doing it for his holo grind...
