Has anyone tracked if the knockdown ability works at all? I understand from the FAQ and other posts that knockdown is not callable and that critical strike is overall, a superior special. But in some of the threads, the question of knockdown working at all has often be obscured by the confusion of some that they were using knockdown when they were actually using critical strike.
Can anyone definately say they've seen knockdown work?

I have never seen it work with a pet. I use KD/Dizzy pets in tandems. Still no luck.

A TK can knock down a Rancor by sneezing and a Faamba couldnt knockdown a needle balanced on end.

You can knockdown creatures, I do it all the time when I hunt Bull Rancors. Dizzy never works on creatures so don't even bother. Just try to knock them down to get that extra damage in and pound away until they die.

It's been a while since I've used a pet that had knockdown (because it definitely hasn't worked with the special attack training commands). My understanding was that the pet does sometimes use Knockdown on its own... but it could be worth double-checking to make sure this is still the case.

I've seen my pets use things like poison and disease before, but it is highly random. I even saw one of my narglatches throw a crippling strike in PvP once, but sadly it did not work :/.

Well I can't get my crippling strikes to go on command, it sure would be useful though :/.

Yeah I think you might find that we get into rants here Brissanna. Like I alluded towards in the post that started this, we as a profession have been waiting for fixes to our pets for a long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long time.
And I am only slightly exagerating.

So do any of the pet specials work? So far I don't think any of my pets have had specials that stick. Are the commands "special attack 1" and "special attack 2" even worth taking up macro space on my toolbar then?
