I'm not testing, but from what I've heard of those who have tested, with creature stats I've seen, and the group level situation, it seems that creatures are going to be generic, and their abilities will be based solely on the abilities of the Creature Handler controlling the pet.
It's because of this that I haven't even been logging on to the game for the past few days. It's like "Yea, I could go out hunting, tame some new creatures that are on my list of creatures I wanna find, but in the end, why? In a couple weeks, it'll all have been a waste".
The CU makes me sad, angry, and any emotion that is not a happy or content one. If I didn't have X-Men Legends, I'd be an emotional wreck.
never much of a ch myself, i tried it, but i envy you all. you all get screwed but love and enjoy doing things most people forget like taming new creatures.
im so sorry they are even killing that for you now and killing the game period

Having done a fair ammount of testing myself, I'll provide all the info I've gathered, i think it will anwser your question.
As of Now on TC-EP3 ALL wild creatures (even after the've been tamed) have no resists and no specials. Also once you tame them they have no HAM bars at all, and from what I can see are invulnrable.
This pretty much has to be an area they have yet to fix, and will change soon.
When they moved Chilly to TC-3 I logged in and checked out my pets (for the VERY short time it was up)
All of the pets i had tamed still had no resists and no specials.
HOWEVER the BE pets retained their resits and specials.
Also, the BE pets that contained light armor when called said that they contained ileagle atrabutes and needed to be ballenced.
I was given 2 options:
a) balence the stats of the pet (IE change the stats in line with it's current level)
2) balence the level of the pet (IE bring the level up to be in line with the current stats)
Choosing option 2 always resulted in a level 125+ pet that could not be called and retained it's origional stats and armor.
Choosing option a resulted in the aromor being removed and the ststs of the pets being put in line with the CU.
While using option a did lower the HAM of my gurcat, It's resists went up signifigantly. When i ballenced my level 45 Kimo It actually gained HAM as well as having improved resists.
indacating that the species of the pet does in fact play into it's sats and abilites.
Meaning that pets will still be unique, if not more uniquw after the CU.
The current generic pets are just a result of that part of the game not having been worked on yet.
I'm sory that was so long, but i hope it helps clear things up and ease peoples fears some.

TH, What planets do you want us on? Last I heard not all planets were balanced.

You shouldn't have any planet specific imbalances. The planet you choose should be a comparison of your Combat Level and the Creature/NPCs level. As it is on live, Corellia, Naboo andTatooine are great spots for newer players. Talus and Rori are great mid level spots and the rest of the planets will be more of a mixed bag from medium to high levels.
If you can, please letus know what your solo results are. There have been quite a few solid comments on soloists not being able to engage white cons and we would like to balance them a little better for solo play.
We also need the groups and white con feedback, but so far that seems to be closer to the target challenge/risk factor than solo play.
