Thread: If Jedi are gonna complain about drop rates, so am I...

Well, since Jedi are slowly starting to expect the devs to give them the SWG on a silver platter, complaining about crystal drops and such, I feel compelled to do the same.

*ahem*

I have been a Master Creature Handler since October. Since the announcement of rare tameables being added, I began looking for a Bull Rancor to tame, because it was my main and almost ONLY desire/goal in the game. If had more space in my datapad, it would be full of rancors. They are my favorite pet.

So, I have been looking since last year for one tameable. Just one...a Bull Rancor (baby).

Close to 400 lairs later, I still have yet to even SEE one on my server (Intrepid). Which started to make me believe the spawn may be broke, because if I am correct, no one on Intrepid has one (I may be wrong though).

I submitted a CS ticket, to which my first response was along the lines of, "sorry, we just don't know." And the second response alone the lines of, "There are no Baby Bull Rancors, have a BE make you one."

So, I am asking that the "drop" or spawn rate for this ridiculously rare tameable be upped considerably.

Thanks...

I'm with you on this one, it seems hardly any rares hit Intrepid.

Agreed

Rare spawn are eitehr way way too low or plain simple broken

492 Wild, Missions Bull Rancor Lair And not 1 baby! there is only 2 on the Gorath server tamed way back in Jan/Feb

Thats 1476 Bulls And not one baby spawn??? comon...

Plus solo spawn are broekn by player cities. malignantSquill spawn is so broken so times a ranger will track one just to see it vanish in mid scan

Or in my case despawned in mid battle!

-== MCH/MPiker ==-
-==Warrior Princess of the Nightsister Clan==-
...has tamed all rare animals except the broken bull rancor! 987 lairs!

I understand what you're saying, but you have to weigh carefully what impact that will have on the value assigned to the creature. Take Great Plains Stalkers for example. They're a nice cat, but people are mostly after them due to their extreme rarity.

let's not forget that no matter who you are, you may complain about the rates now, but as soon as you get one, you're going to care a lot less. it's always the same.

I agree with everyone, its rough sometimes being MCH...i find over 400 lairs for Bull Rancors and not one baby kinda extreme tho should be at least one in ahundred.

Anyways i wish everyone trying to find a Bull Rancor baby the very best of luck and keep the faith one day you will get one!

Wilow....always the postive one!..

Unfortunately the value of our rares outside of appearance and name is limited.

I just figured since Jedi are roaming all over the place en masse, I don't see why this has to be an issue anymore. ESPECIALLY since I can't get any clarification as to whether or not the spawn is even functioning on my server...

How do you know I would care a lot less? I don't think so. NO ONE should have to put forth that much effort and time to obtain anything. It's not fair to those who have put the time and effort forward. It's not like we are able to go AFK, loop a macro and have our character look while we sleep. We have to be extremely active for hours and hours on end to have the slightest chance of finding one.

It's crap...

that's what they also say at first, and are pretty tunnelled into the argument while they don't yet have one. it changes pretty quick once they start their brag post on how they just tamed a baby.

let's not get into the maury povich-esque defense of "you don't know me! don't act like you do!". if anything, we'll see how much you still advocate it after you get one, assuming you get one.

I don't think so.

you don't think so in regards towhat? odd context here.

Rare drops are what makes this game fun. I think that it should still drop though and if it is broken they need fixing it. What makes me sad though is the attitude of a lot of the player community .. ... everyone wants it "NOW" and they want something "VALUABLE" and they want to be "POWERFUL" beyond means. Why cannot anyone just go out and play the game and enjoy most of the things that are good ... like for instance the drop rate on the very cool loot kits.

Someone or many someones have apparantly complained their asses off and now the drop rate for them will be increased. I was liking the hunt for them orange rug drops. I think the decrease of many things ingame like crystals and other such things are needed. Maybe many more need to be like the baby bull rancor ... if not we all will have a baby bull rancor and we all will have jedi with uber lightsabers and all of us got fifteen orange rugs ... ....

Probably because it's something you would do is why you say this. Because you have the "tunneled" argument because you can't consider anything or anyone other than yourself.

Well guess what. YOU DON'T know JACK S**T about what ANYONE here would do. So you can take your maury povish-esque comments and stick 'em.

I don't think so.

And what's your point? Putting effort towards something that may or may not exist (tameables) or putting effort towards something you know exists...

Are you being an a$$ for a reason digi? First you give someone a lecture on how to treat their pets, now this.

hmm, looks like the discussion is over.

as the saying goes, the one that has no argument is the one that resorts to name-calling.

so far i haven't heard anything convincing from you, only "i don't have it therefore it has to be more common!". as soon as you can come up with something to truly back up why you think they should be more common besides "i want it because i don't have it", and stop the name calling, we'll have this discussion again.

you're not going to convince anyone to your argument by snapping at them and insulting them. you're the one that's not considering anyone but yourself.

No, it's not over, because for some odd reason you are acting like a child towards people here.

Want an argument. Ok, how about risk vs. reward. Explain to methe reward for taking the risk (not to mention time) to look for this particular rare. %5 kinetic? An area disease thatcould only serve as a grief in PvP right before the pet dies a quick death? A disease special works too slowly to cause any meaningful damage in PvE. Where's the potential reward for the risk being taken?

If this rare actually had some decient stats, it would be a whole different story.

Plus, the fact that I can't even get a confirmationas to whether the spawn is broken or not. There's your argument.

Aakhperkare wrote:

the irony being that the very animal he was treating like gutter trash is the very one you're complaining about not being able to find. so certainly you'd find it fair that you can't find it while some random person who fell ass-backwards on it after a couple of lairs treats it just horribly?

There's a difference. Wanna know what it is? IT'S HIS PET. Not yours. You have no business telling people what they should be doing with their pets now do you. You felt compelled to complain about someone elses belongings that does not concern you what-so-ever, but you justified it somehow.

And spare me the tired saying of "people with no arugment call names." I called you an a$$ because you have been acting like an a$$. Plain and simple...

Bull Rancors - I would like one. If it is very rare would you use it like any other pet or just show it off occassionally?

Personally I would like one and several other types of 60+ level pets in the wild I can tame at Master and use them every day in every fight. Why is it rare at all - beats me. Its exclusivity is already guaranteed by being only tameable at Master. The whole rare subject is absurd, all rare pets have is the occassional AoE attack other than that BE pets are much better.

The whole forum idea is very annoying, we post endlessly as though someone somewhere actually reads them and takes these ideas/opinions into account, everyone has been fooled into believing posting here will be read by the devs and the game improved by these opinions and acted upon.

It should be a simple case of asking for what we want and being told either "yes np or no sorry", months go by and nothing at all likethat is happening.

I like the game and I like CH, but if you look too closely it can get annoying. Whats wrong with looking closely, nearly every other class has enormous stats available for weaponspeeds DPS etc every class looks in depth at their subject.

We are not even crafters, we dont need new schematics or loot drops, just access to what is wandering around the game every day.
