Thread: Master Tamer's Necklace, Part 2: New Info
The CH forum has been a mean-spirited mess this weekend... I really hope we can join together and solve this once and for all. PLEASE do not troll, argue, bicker, etc. in this thread!
Basically, we learned that the hints and information tossed our way during Beta may have been inaccurate and/or misleading, and a new direction has unfolded.
The current, unverified method of acquiring the Master Tamer's Necklace is to kill and loot Doombringer from the YT-2400/HK-47 quest series. Assuming it is proven, credit should be given to BloodfinKaars, who brought this to our attention.
I state that the method is unverified because no screenshot has been produced... however it is entirely possible that Doombringer or another NPC would drop the necklace, as the necklace was never found in Beta.
If it is indeed a loot, it is not a guaranteed drop. Similar to Necrosis, reports across the forums state that several different items (including the Jedi Master Cloak) drop from Doombringer.
Please report any further findings here, and if you have a screenshot or will allow me to meet you on your server to verify the necklace's existence, please PM me and I will get with you ASAP!
SPECIAL NOTE: It is not yet verified if the Master Tamer's Necklace can be worn by Ithorians or Wookiees. However, it also has not been verified that it can't be. I have stated before, there is no reason to lock two races out of advanced profession content, so if it is determined that the necklace cannot be worn by Wookiees or Ithorians I will immediately address the situation with the dev team. Until such time as it has been verified either way, please don't panic! And rest assured, if it's not wearable, I'll fight it tooth & nail.

No Credit Yet! Like i said (and it turned into a huge forum
) is thati heard from a reliable source, and it was looted in Beta (as we've come to learn as well) by someone in my guild. Happily it was looted in both circumstances in the same manner. We're still early in ToOW and not every loot has been made available to us, but we're pretty confident here in FOAD that this is the way.
If i may, i'd like to take a moment to apologize for all the hupelah i caused, i did a poor job of giving every detail and did an even poorer job of being there to clarify it before it got out of hand. The thread was supposed to be two lines long, and it turned into a total mess. For this i am truely sorry. I will follow this thread very closely to assure that a similar trend does occur here in this thread. So lets put our CH heads together and get this bad boy!
Good Luck, and may the Force be with you...
A bunch of my friends (yes I have them, all Jedi...the whole lot of them) are dedicated to working on this. They have been in a few times, and nothing worthwhile. No robe, no necklace. Of course, they probably wouldn't give it to me if they find it. Jedi tend to horde loot to sell for saber components, and even my friends (who I know in RL) are like this. I can't blame them though...with crystals and pearls barely dropping at all anymore, I guess I might do the same if I were Jedi.
Also my hopefully very very future guild, BEAST sent me an in game mail today about this "incident" and that they were skeptical, but I guess we are gonna try to check it out for ourselves. They are looking into it, as is every single player at this point...CH's because we want our "master weapon" and non CH's because they see dollar signs.
No flames here, not gonna call anyone a liar...but I'll be damned...if you come galavanting in here touting the win, you better back itup with proof.
BTW, last comment was not directed at you Kaars, I understand now that you aren't claiming it yourself, just that you heard about it.

If there is time later on down the road to add any, I'm sure it can be considered.
Wookiees and Ithorians don't generally get new wearables. Sometimes at first, sometimes not at all. Both Wookiees and Ithorians require additional modeling. I'm sorry not everything is available to you if you are one of these species, but body shape and character customization have a pretty big effect here.

The simple fact is Ithorians and Wookiees cannot wear neckalces.

The bottom line is the Dev's need to respond here.

QFE
The best thing about this game is the community of players. We need to work together to build on the community, not go backwards in our efforts. I applaud Ko-alri for bringing this up. I understand the frustration that everyone has in regards to the necklace. It stems from love of a profession that is un-paralleled in game. We're all eagerly awaiting our chance to control higher CL pets, but lets work together instead of flaming!
We're undoubtedly going to have false reports and Paint Shop Pro attempts (I HATE PHOTOSHOP!), but we need to ignore the attention getters and work through our community leaders to help each other!
God I hope its not a loot this basically bars me from ever getting the necklace and thus pretty much forces my to drop MCH. I aint got a jedi posse to clear the way for me. So right now I am stuck sitting outside of dungeons begging for group invites, or hopeing the door screws up on someone and they have to group with me.
This is just terrible news for me if its one of these high end loots. Lets face it mustafar was built for jedi, and until I have a necklace I am viewed as less then wanted in group because my pet at level 70 is worthless.
I want to correct someone though this is not a puzzle this is a hidden item that is totally dependant on 10 thousand people to discover it more by accident then anything else. That does not a puzzle make. Finding a needle in a haystack isnt a puzzle either. You want to see an example of good puzzles look at the zelda series, or look at any other platformer. Thats puzzle elements not random luck.
