Hey again folks,

The CH forum has been a mean-spirited mess this weekend... I really hope we can join together and solve this once and for all. PLEASE do not troll, argue, bicker, etc. in this thread!

Basically, we learned that the hints and information tossed our way during Beta may have been inaccurate and/or misleading, and a new direction has unfolded.

The current, unverified method of acquiring the Master Tamer's Necklace is to kill and loot Doombringer from the YT-2400/HK-47 quest series. Assuming it is proven, credit should be given to BloodfinKaars, who brought this to our attention.

I state that the method is unverified because no screenshot has been produced... however it is entirely possible that Doombringer or another NPC would drop the necklace, as the necklace was never found in Beta.

If it is indeed a loot, it is not a guaranteed drop. Similar to Necrosis, reports across the forums state that several different items (including the Jedi Master Cloak) drop from Doombringer.

Please report any further findings here, and if you have a screenshot or will allow me to meet you on your server to verify the necklace's existence, please PM me and I will get with you ASAP!

SPECIAL NOTE: It is not yet verified if the Master Tamer's Necklace can be worn by Ithorians or Wookiees. However, it also has not been verified that it can't be. I have stated before, there is no reason to lock two races out of advanced profession content, so if it is determined that the necklace cannot be worn by Wookiees or Ithorians I will immediately address the situation with the dev team. Until such time as it has been verified either way, please don't panic! And rest assured, if it's not wearable, I'll fight it tooth & nail.

No Credit Yet! Like i said (and it turned into a huge forum ) is thati heard from a reliable source, and it was looted in Beta (as we've come to learn as well) by someone in my guild. Happily it was looted in both circumstances in the same manner. We're still early in ToOW and not every loot has been made available to us, but we're pretty confident here in FOAD that this is the way.

If i may, i'd like to take a moment to apologize for all the hupelah i caused, i did a poor job of giving every detail and did an even poorer job of being there to clarify it before it got out of hand. The thread was supposed to be two lines long, and it turned into a total mess. For this i am truely sorry. I will follow this thread very closely to assure that a similar trend does occur here in this thread. So lets put our CH heads together and get this bad boy!

Good Luck, and may the Force be with you...

I am going to do my part by trying to kill the boss in the decrepit droid factory to seeif he drops it as Bloodfinkaars posted he also got it from there. I hope that is genuinely an alternative because I know of only one person on my galaxy who has beat the Doombringer.

A bunch of my friends (yes I have them, all Jedi...the whole lot of them) are dedicated to working on this. They have been in a few times, and nothing worthwhile. No robe, no necklace. Of course, they probably wouldn't give it to me if they find it. Jedi tend to horde loot to sell for saber components, and even my friends (who I know in RL) are like this. I can't blame them though...with crystals and pearls barely dropping at all anymore, I guess I might do the same if I were Jedi.

Also my hopefully very very future guild, BEAST sent me an in game mail today about this "incident" and that they were skeptical, but I guess we are gonna try to check it out for ourselves. They are looking into it, as is every single player at this point...CH's because we want our "master weapon" and non CH's because they see dollar signs.

No flames here, not gonna call anyone a liar...but I'll be damned...if you come galavanting in here touting the win, you better back itup with proof.

BTW, last comment was not directed at you Kaars, I understand now that you aren't claiming it yourself, just that you heard about it.

I bet it is probably both, looted and crafted with the cube. I have noticed a few other things have been looted aswell as made from the cube.

That is what Thunderheart said concerning the CH necklace... To me that means if there is no time later down the road to add it then it is tough luck for all those gullible players that thought Wookiees and Ithorians would make the perfect races for Creature Handling due to their innate taming bonus - and some folks do not seem to understand that this bonus does in no way, shape or form add to the max level of pets...

Ko,

I hate to disagee, but I do.

The simple fact is Ithorians and Wookiees cannot wear neckalces. So until the Dev's respond stating that this one is special the only assumption we can make is that the most popular CH race is left out.

The bottom line is the Dev's need to respond here.

They do not need to state who drops the loot or the cube combo. They need to just state whether it comes from the cube or loot drop. No need for spoilers.

However they do absolutely need to respond on whether Wookiees and Ithorians can wear it.

If you recall Wookiees used to not be able to wear thei rmaster pilot medals, but a fix uas placed in so they could MONTHS after they got them.

Now add to that a post that TH made earlier makes it not look good

Wookiees and Ithorians don't generally get new wearables. Sometimes at first, sometimes not at all. Both Wookiees and Ithorians require additional modeling. I'm sorry not everything is available to you if you are one of these species, but body shape and character customization have a pretty big effect here.

So you can see the huge concern. If this is not classified as a medal then we Wooks are screwed.

We do deserve an immediate dev response in this matter.

So what the dev's need to respond to is

1) Is it loot drop or cube

2) Can the most common CH species (Wookiees) and Ithorians wear it?

3) Is it tradable. Because the state of CH, a CH witha combat profession will not be able to do these quests.

The simple fact is,Wookiees can wear some necklaces. My best friend is a Wookiee CH/CM and she most definitely wears the Nyax Necklace (Medical Warfare Efficiency +5).

I also diagree with that the Devs have to respond to anything, it's in the game to solve puzzles, isn't it? But I agree they have to give such nice rewards to all species, many players have not choosen their specie entirely from mods and stuff, and actually some mods have changed post-CU.

Edited for clarity. Also note, Scooter states these species can wear no necklaces at all, while they can.

isnt it a puzzle enough to figure out how the hell your gonna kill doombringer or what combo the cube needs to make it? atleast give me a bloody direction to go. this shouldnt take years to find or obtain but it should be hard. but i know people who have the master jedi robe (not many but a few) but there is no sign of the necklace. it shouldnt be rarer then the stupid jedi robe. it think it should be doombringer over the cube. but dont make it a rare drop. its a feat in itself just to get there let us atleast get a reward for our troubles.

The best thing about this game is the community of players. We need to work together to build on the community, not go backwards in our efforts. I applaud Ko-alri for bringing this up. I understand the frustration that everyone has in regards to the necklace. It stems from love of a profession that is un-paralleled in game. We're all eagerly awaiting our chance to control higher CL pets, but lets work together instead of flaming!

We're undoubtedly going to have false reports and Paint Shop Pro attempts (I HATE PHOTOSHOP!), but we need to ignore the attention getters and work through our community leaders to help each other!

God I hope its not a loot this basically bars me from ever getting the necklace and thus pretty much forces my to drop MCH. I aint got a jedi posse to clear the way for me. So right now I am stuck sitting outside of dungeons begging for group invites, or hopeing the door screws up on someone and they have to group with me.

This is just terrible news for me if its one of these high end loots. Lets face it mustafar was built for jedi, and until I have a necklace I am viewed as less then wanted in group because my pet at level 70 is worthless.

I want to correct someone though this is not a puzzle this is a hidden item that is totally dependant on 10 thousand people to discover it more by accident then anything else. That does not a puzzle make. Finding a needle in a haystack isnt a puzzle either. You want to see an example of good puzzles look at the zelda series, or look at any other platformer. Thats puzzle elements not random luck.
