Thread: Best tamable master CH pet
all around the bull rancor is the best tameable pet. great resists, high ham, devestating plague strike, and its massive size combines for the greatest tameable pet as of right now.
acouple others that arent too far behind are the toxic merek battlelord and arachne widow
You really need two pets anymore... one for kinetic (used against other animals) and one with resists to ranged weapons (used against npcs).
For kinetic the delirious merek avenger technically has the highest kinetic resist + light armor you can get.Its drawback is that is has a rather mediocre attack of 345-400.These are a very common creature you can tame on Endor.
For use against ranged weapons, probably the best is the bull rancor, with its 60% energy, and 80% to heat, cold and electricity, it is arguably the best tamable creature available to use against ranged weapons. It is a little weak in the kinetic department however, only 35%.
If the toxic merek battlelord didn't have a vulnarability to its energy resist, it would be a great pet to use vs ranged attacks.
Best tank: If I had a bull rancor, I'd say that. But best tank I have is toxic merek battlelord.
I've found a savage humbaba and a gaping spider hunter to be a pretty good combo on adventure worlds.
My favorite MCH three pet combo would be my dewback as a mount and two GSPs. I think two boar wolves would be a better combo though for pure kinetic tanking power now, but I'm a cat person. I also am very careful about risking pets in serious scrums anymore. The poor dears aren't up to it, I'm afraid.
Would have to agree that for taking on NPCs you can't go wrong with rancors, particularly the bull if you can find him. They do lack in the kinetic department, though, and inevitably the pet will close on the target and they'll switch weapons on you from ranged to melee.

You never played Diablo II: LoD or Brood War I take it. That company that 'knows what the hell its doing' is what drove me to Everquest before SWG came out.
