Over8 long weeks of searching and about 70 adults killed.

Logged in today in the middle of my search area on Corellia. Did an area track to find

an adult right off, about 150m away. Called my pets and speeder and headed in its

direction. I found a dead adult and a player leaving the scene.

Started tracking, and after a couple minutes saw..... a great plains stalker(baby) about

150m away!

I raced off towards it on foot, forgetting I had my speeder out, and before I could get

within visual distance.....

CONNECTION TO SWG LOST!

NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Frantically I tried to log back in. After 2 attempts, I was in and tracking again, saw

the baby was still there, about 300m away. I burst ran towards it, hoping there would be

no other creatures nearby it might aggro. Found it by itself, no players or mobs around.

Tamed it on the 5th try.

In my search there were several frustrating episodes with the stalker spawns I've found.

Not to mention the amount of time spent looking. Nothing compared to today. Now every

time I see that connection lost message on my screen, I get a flashback and

palpitations.

I think I'll buy some hair color this week to cover the gray.

For those of us without tracking, can you give any hints on where you found this little guy?

Well, they can appear just about anywhere, but I think most of us have used the Lord Nyax POI as a central point to circle out from.

If you would like some more accurate locations from previous sightings, goto:

http://www.swgcreatures.com/detail.asp?creatureID=195 and then under the picture, where it says sightings, click on 'Corellia' and a windowed map of the planet will pop up with pink markers designating posted sightings.

Thanks for the congrats everyone

The baby was found at -1351 -1715. I found 19 spawns altogether, including the baby.

Most spawns were of 4 adults. Acouple had 3. 3 spawns had one adult. 2 spawns had a

suprising 8 plus adults. I was so busy fighting them I lost count at those. At one spawn I killed the first adult,

and was in the middle of fighting the second, when it poofed. That was the end of that

spawn.

All spawns were found on the grassland terrain, or in the trees alongside

riverbanks boardering the grasslands. About half of them were in areas with few other

creatures around, the others were in densely populated areas. Just about all of the

stalkers I've found spawned during the day on Corellia, although the baby I tamed was

found at night. Some people think that player cities have a negative impact on spawn

rates. I don't think that's the case, at least on my server, as 6 spawns were within

about 600m from the outskirts of a player city. One spawn was within the city limits.

Almost all spawns were found while riding my speeder, and I used tracking to find every

one. I tried at times to run my waypoints on foot, but I didn't have any better luck

finding them doing so. Some people have found that the area around the Nyax POI is sort

of a hot spot for GPS but I found only one spawn near there.

It seems there may be some kind of pattern, but I don't know how helpful it may be. If you

put these waypoints on the map, you'll see they make horizontal rows. If you look at the

second number, many are close together. They may actually be closer, as the cats tend

to travel and some waypoints I created after they had already started after me or another creature.

Thank you Sasha!! This is actually Jynx from the Naritus server. Your input on waypoints really helped on finding my first baby. I've actually only seen two spawn points before, but usually looking for bull rancor baby . Wanted to add a waypoint anycase. Found him at 2962 -708. The baby spawned after killing three adults. Tues at 5pm moutain time, during the daylight hours on corellia. Thank you again sooo much. This pet is my ideal one, even over the bull rancor. Love the cats. Happy hunting all, you will find one soon. Dont give up!!

Um, I tamed two, they're about two days old or level 14-15 around now. It took me about two or three hours, a speeder, and a ticket to Talus. I was surprised at how easy it was for people who spend weeks.
