Thread: This Is What I Call A Major BORKING
Why the devs in there apparently wisdomless minds have done this I do not know, There goal was to make pvp fighting more evenly ballanced which I did notice that the winner wasnt always the person with the best skills but the one with the better buff the better armor and the most skill tapes and armor attatchments. But every Ch that ive known over my time playing were not PVP's but just people that liked to hunt and have fun, but the devs dont see the truth or they just dont care. This borking isnt just for Ch's many people have taken big kick in the groin on this "Downgrade" My artisan is a master tailor / weaponsmith with novice pistoleer for some protection But when I logged in today to start making some of the new weapons for the guildies I wanted to try some out and to my surprise and disgust I found that My m-ws m-tailor novice pistoleer cant use a friggen pistol that a person with marksman pistols 3 could use "pre cu" while my m doc tkm can use any pistol or rifle that doesnt need a master req for them. and He doesnt have 1 friggen ranged skill at all. THIS IS COMPLETE BS. Does whover thought of this have there head up there butt for the warmth are do they just have to concept of weapons and usage skills?
So therefor im giving these idiots untill my accounts run out then im taking my money and trying a game that SOE has nothing to do with like Matrix Online.
And feel free to ban me for speaking the truth. Most players feel the same way.
I agree...some things just dont make sense....SOE=greedy no common sense havin nerf herders
I know there are problems in live with weapons certs, but they've already fixed some or all of them on the test center, so expect that to be rectified soon. As for the pet levels, you have to consider that the old pet stats don't mean squat in the new system. So, saying your pet's HAM and damage was reduced is true. It's because the combat system is completely different and the old numbers have no bearing on the new system. You can't think the old way because it just doesn't work. Stats changed because the combat system changed and the old pets were basically incompatible with the new system balance-wise and number-wise. Two different animals (pun intended).
As for hunting alone as a CH. Most CH's go out looking for babies, right? Well, it's still possible to tap a lair without having to kill anything. Baby spawn rates have been upped to compensate for us not being able to fight alone. If you don't see a baby at a lair you could move on to another or maskscent, run in and tap the lair and run to lose aggro. I used to do this all the time back when I had Gimpoleer, er I mean Pistoleer, because it was more effective than trying to take out the lair and the creatures. So, I know it's possible to harvest babies without the power to destroy all creatures at a lair. Just takes a little thought and strategy.

As for pets getting downgraded, this is only partially true, some pets actually got upgraded. Mereks are significantly more powerful (Cavern Creeper is now level 53). My level 50 BE's stayed the same, my level 30's got downgraded slightly. Some of my mid level big cats (Wrixs, Razors, Tusks) were down graded, but the Gurreks got upgraded. So it varies.
Look at this as a chance to rethink your pets, and maybe collect some different ones that are now much better then before. But overall, if they get specials up and running again, CH is in far better shape then pre CU and one of the few solo capable profs. You just have to change how you attack and us your pets and likely have to change your support profs. Play it for awhile, and if unsure what to do, go to the TC, it is exactly the same game as on live now (my CU download took 3 minutes LOL, not alot of changes from the current TC) and play around a bit.

Whats the use of having pets if there weaker then you. If you put 1 hit on the target its gonna come after you. Another thing if they wanted to make people group while didnt they make people weaker or the creatures tougher? the CU was not well planned at all and it is a complete insult to everyone that plays the game. We spent our hard earn money to be able to play a game that we liked. Now the devs are saying We Dont Care What You Want! We Are The Gods Of SWG And We Will Change Anything We Want To No Matter How Many People's Gameplay Gets Ruined.

My ch is a M-ch M-Rifleman so his combat level is 80, As a test I grouped him with 2 lvl 35 giant anglers when grouped all 3 were 80 each.foodoo
Question:
Do you mean that when you grouped with your level 35 anglers, they became level 80 after grouping? If so, is that what is supposed to happen? I have grouped with a bunch of pets and never seen them change levels.
I have the same experience as you though, level 35 pets get owned by my missions etc.

Ok, the BE pet conversion thing does suck. I hope the devs do somethin about the whole pet conversion thing. On another note...
CH with another combat profession is not bad though. I'm having no problem soloing on Dant. My pets go for the initial tank while I put state effects on them. Then I turn on the juice and start doing damage and aggro switches to me. Thing isn't alive that much longer though and it already has state effects on it so it's not getting my health down too much. If I try without my pets, my health goes down a bit and my regen health rate is waaaaaaay slower than the pet regen. So, with the pets starting out, the death rate isn't too bad. I'd say CH is a nice secondary prof right now. For those that just have CH...not sure how that's gonna turn out. Ideally the CL70 pet will do nice damage on the CL56 or so thing you are taking on. The pets also help crowd control in case a 2nd somehow gets on you, that way hopefully you get the kill on the first before your pets health is gone as it tanks the 2nd. I kinda like the CH/Fencer combo right now and I got the snare on them in case it comes to 3 or I'm starting to lose.
You got to think with a little context yes the hams were reduced on pets in the CU, but and big but ten k hams were way out of line in a system with dramatically reduced armor multipliers and buffs. In other words if the pets stayed 10k there would be no hope for any player to beat it.
We can also get bye with lower damages since battles are signifigantly longer aswell.
Be patient with it only tat is supposedly fully balanced.
