Thread: Reply from Vass about Jedi mind trick commands...
Here is the text of an instand message from developer Vass:

Jedi have to make choices about which skill trees to progress in. They don't have enough skill points to get all of the trees, only a couple. If a Jedi gets the entire "animal control" line, then they will not have enough points to get all of the melee defense, or ranged defense, or force defense, or lightsaber, etc.
So *some* Jedi will have this ability, but not all. Honestly, I think that it will be a small percentage of them.

Not acceptable by me.
Your responses please.
In the books and films there are lots of examples of jedi using such abilities on animals so I don't see a reason they should not be able to learn such skills here, too.
May the Force be with you all!

I think
IT's BANTHA FODDER!!!!!
Translation for devs who seem to not know much about Star Wars lore: BULL**edit**!!!

I don't really see your problem there. Jedi do have such abilities and as Vass stated, they give up other usefull skills to get it. And actually I don't think that Jedi fear pets enough to sacrifice more general and/or usefull skills to it beside a very few...

The problem here is that it is putting class control of another player in players hands. It negates us as a profession in the hands of the right player. That is too much power at any time. It makes no difference how few people can do it. Would you think it fair if a few creature handlers could walk up and take away a rifleman's rifle and start shooting them with it at the same level of skill as the rifelman?

Basically he is trying to assuage your fear of ever fighting one of this Jedi without taking a stance on whether you are right or wrong.
