Is anybody else having issues with this command via macro's, the other commands such as special attacks and tricks are all working fine.

Macro petattack

/tellpet at

Thats it, the pet doesn't even recognise a command has been issued.

It's working normally to me:

Macro name "PET_ATTACK":

/tellpet Attack;

/echo Pet sent to Attack;

Sorry, but I can't give you a solution

Yep, works fine for me too. Did the /tellpet command get picky about short commands ("at") with the last patch or something?

Tellpet has always been flakey with one and two letter commands. Sometimes they work and sometimes not. You might want to try changing the attack command to something longer and try it again.

I use /tellpet kill, it seems to work fine for me

I honestly couldn't tell you, cause as a roleplayer, I have my macro shout out my commands. i.e. /yell HIv

/yell mev; etc etc

What he said ^. Tellpet normally drops one or two letter commands. Try testing it by trying to train the pet using tellpet, you should see that all 1 and 2 letter commands are dropped, but 3 letter ones make it through. Some people can get 2 letter commands to work, but I have never seen this happen. Has to be 3 or more for me.

I use /tellpet attack with a lot of additions to make it look cool and it never failed me. In fact (this probably has been brought up a 100 times) but it seems that the last few days my pet even attacks from 80 m or so, he used to attack when the target was in my range (64m).

How did you bind them to the numpad?

i made hotkey commands in the macro section of the command options, gave each 1 of them a name and icon.

example

macro name pet attack 1

icon = whatever

command = /tellpet kill

then you go to keymaps in the options, most of your numberpad is currently controlling camera views which to me are unnecessary so i rebound these to my macro hotkeys for my pet commands.

now instead of typing in /tellpet kill, or /tellpet come, or hitting a hotkey in the hotbar at the top, i just press 1 or 2 etc.

sorry if this isnt explained the greatest, im still half asleep.

Made perfect sense. I didn't realize you could bind macros to other keys than the F-key toolbar slots. This means I'm wasting a lot of space on my toolbar... hmmmm... Time for a reorganization I think...
