From the latest TC patchnotes:
Combat
* Fixed an issue with autoattacking a dead or incapacitated target has now been fixed
* A combat exploit using macros was fixed.
* Group level should now be equal to the level of the highest level player in the group
* Fixed an issue with cooldown groups sporadically not appearing in the toolbar
* Armor Accuracy & Rate of Fire Hinderance now show as a debuff
* Healing with no target will now heal the medic
* Scout XP from harvesting has been adjusted
* Baby creatures should now be balanced correctly based on their con

I am level 16 right now and I finally got and trained managment 1 in spite of the server stability issuesso I tested out the group command on a level 5 pet. When it joined the group both our CLs shot up to 18! I dont have a problem with this for CH pets but this is going to be a problem with people with double masteries grouping with CL10 pets. Can we please make it so only CHs can use commands other than attack, follow me, and store?

and also like the fact grouping is better than I feared it would be.

I am kind of hoping the BE-bug that leads to those CL10 monsters are removed 
But with that new code, grouping with a Level 80 rancor should be quite useful

So how long will it be until someone claims it's unfair that a Novice CH can get such a huge boost? "They only use a few SP to get CL 12 pets, and they get a massive boost in GL from it, NERF!!!"
I dont see the problem, to be honest, but maybe thats because Im not a MCH and dont want the next nerfcall to be thrown in my direction. It's the same thing with CL10 BE pets; right now people say they are too powerful, so how long until CL12 BE is too powerful? CL15? CL20? Every time I see one of these threads I see a spiral of nerfs to the point where having anything but MCH is useless.

No im talking about the boost in the CL of my pet!
A multi mastery character grouped with a CL10 would have a very usefull pet indeed espically if those Ub3r CL10s arnt balanced proberly.

WHA? LEVEL 80 RANCOR? I am dumb aboutthe CURB, but how will the cl70 thing change? TELL MEH!?

Think from what Joker said is, your pets lvl increases with being grouped.
The lvl 80 rancor statement may be in relation to that.
Now that the light bulb went off in my head and I understand fully what Joker's saying it is very true then that the ole lvl10 may be more in demand than ever.
Joker quick question since your the only CH on the server
Do pets get the group defensive bonus?
Or is the defense bonus directly related to the group level increase even with pets?

oh so the level is fulid, not fixed?..hmm i wonder if there is ANY swg code left in this version of EQ?
so all this talk of ch improved seems kind of mute, as there are no stand alone professions...seems if you want to be adept at combat you will need to use every sp , for combat i.e. rifle needs to do a tree of carbs/pistols to get an aoe, and since everyone can pull a pet of somekind, i wonder if the takning ability (hate system)is going out the window..to make it "fair"
seems if you master ch, you won't have a lot of sp left to put into your combat template, since no one master combat is going to be worth squat

I honestly have no clue because the server is so unstable my pet wolnt even group with me anymore. I was lucky enough to get it to do it once then I got booted. When they get stability problems worked out I'll test and see.

I dont know where people are getting the CL80 pet thing. I did the math and counted up the CL bonus for progressing and it came out CL70 for me.

I could be wrong though.

Same with the stored pets...it still shows 20.
Not sure how folks got 30 stored pets in there with a CL of 80...it isnt in there.
