We get the health and CL bonus now.

I must say this pleases me.

I just got managment 3 and my CL jumped from 19 to 21. This is one heck of a grind.

Wanted to ask you, since you've been actively testing creature handler and I have not

Is there going to be a huge danger if say, a pet decides to auto store on you?

Just asking because they now changed it so that your "group" level is determined by highest lvl in group. Considering my one creature handler is only novice rifles, I'd be considered pretty low lvl. I'd have pets up to lvl 70, so my missions would be based on pet level if I am understand correctly? If my pet/s auto stored I'd get slaughtered afterwards?

As it is right now, I can be unbuffed and unarmored and I can still get away if my pets autostore.

Also wondering if pets are holding decent agro. On live now, my pets can keep pretty much anything off me with the only problem being something attacking me from behind or if I make a dumb mistake.

Yes you would get absolutely slaughtered. In fact if you outdamage your pet with 1 shot everything insta aggros you now.

well thats good news, It would seem they changed a few things in that last download. Think the icons are next since the questionare last night asked specifically about them.

the hate system is still a bit over the top and I hope they tone it down a bit.

Joker at your lvl of ch and Il assume just 2 rows of scout, what type of stats do you see oncreatures?

Also are the pets getting any defensive/offensive bonus while grouped or just the handler?

I got novice CH this morning, and went up one level on top of what I already have at 1110 rifleman.

the aggro thing is a problem, as a novice TK is finding it difficult to keep aggro by taunting whilst I hit the big damage specials. I would think in reality novice CH and through the ranks needs a taunt attack with rising bonuses as the mellee proffs get.

When I have a pet thats grown a little i can give a little more info on my experience.

Hmmm, that right there is my biggest concern

I doubt highly that I'd be able to do more dmg as a novice rifleman, than say my lvl 56 screecher, but even the slightest mistake would mean instant death I'm not sure what kind of messing around I'm going to have to do with my template on this particular toon, but if I'm correct, I'm probably going to have to dump ALL of my combat skills since novice rifleman requires ranged support now too. I'll have to see, but seriously, if that is the case, this toon will no longer be a viable combat toon. I'm not dropping Master dancer and I am not dropping Master CH.

My other creature handler might not be in too much trouble since he's a Master Rifleman. I'll just have to see hehe.

Wooooo, just made me a very happy man.

I was very concerned about CH not counting towards your combat level (not so much the health thing but the damage multiplier).

Now this seems to have changed i think i can live with the rest

Nice testing guys (well Joker mainly) , just wished i had the time to join you

Hey man, I dunno exactly what your skill point situation is (it's been awhile since I was an entertainer profession), but for myself, pre-CU I can master Droid Engineer and Creature Handler, and have enough skill points left over for 1 tree in an elite combat profession. I chose Pistoleer, so my pre-CU template was gonna be Master Droid Engineer, Master Creature Handler, and Trickshot (Pistoleer xx4x). Post-CU, with the new skill point requirements for combat professions, my post-CU template is gonna be Master Droid Engineer, Master Creature Handler, Bounty Hunter (1 tree). I haven't decided what tree I want yet, but having Creature Handler, getting Novice Bounty Hunter post-CU costs the same amount of skill points as a regular elite combat profession pre-CU, because Bounty Hunter requires Ranged Support, and Exploration, which we already have as a Creature Handler pre-req. So I don't know how much combat you're looking to have, and how much your remaining skill points after Master Dancer and Master Creature Handler will get you, but if you had enough pre-CU to get Novice Rifleman, you should be able to have enough to get Novice Bounty Hunter, so at least you can still have a bit of non-creature combat.

Anyways, I know it still sucks being "forced" into a certain combat. For me, Bounty Hunter doesn't hurt too hard, because in my back story, my character was kinda one already... although it will be awkward, because if I take only a weapon tree (I.E. Lightning Cannon, that's what I'm thinking about right now), I won't be able to have the tree that is the "definition" of a Bounty Hunter in the Investiagation tree... but if I take the Investigation tree, I'll be kinda hard pressed for combat since I won't have the specials and skill modifiers for my weapon, so I won't be that good at it. And I don't know about you, you might be a roleplayer, and Bounty Hunter just doesn't fit your roleplay. So I know it kinda sucks... but at least there is an option there for ya.

After CU, if I want to keep Master Dancer and Master Creature Handler, I will have to drop Novice Rifleman and will only be able to pick up 3 boxes of ranged support. So, if I continue to play SWG, it's seeming I'll have to be very smart when choosing pets to hunt with.

I'm for sure staying through the combat upgrade testing and possibly another month after it to see if I can get used to whatever changes are made. I already know I'm going to have a difficult time with my dancer/creature handler toon. I'll just have to see if I can find ways to work around it. If I can't.... /shrug.

That is truely a wonderful thing to hear since i am a M CH/ M Be and have no combat skills at all other then my wonderful four footed friends.

At least while I am out and about I might have a chance to flee from danger if needed. I guess it shouldn't to much different of how I do things now.. un-buffed and no armour...

Come on update... finish loading so I can work through the scout requirements....
