Missing Pet Specials (Not yet found on any verified tame)
Pinning Attack (L1, L2, L3) Assumed to exist because of the command /petPinningAttack
Bleeding Attack (L3)
Eye Gouge (L3)
Fleet Footed (L3)
Hamstring Attack (L3)
Imperiling Feint (L3)
Intimidating Attack (L3)
Knockdown (L3)
Staggering Attack (L3)
I'm basing this off the old list of specials last updated 8/21/05 and the fact that I haven't personally seen these. If any HAVE been found please correct me.
Broken/Ineffective Pet Specials (Seems to have little or no noticable effect)
Beastly Constitution
Combat Agility
Defensive Agility
Fleet Footed
Frenzied Blitz
Hamstring Attack
Imperiling Feint
Lightning Reflexes
Precision Strike
I'm basing this off of personal experience, posts on this forum, and Drashk's FAQ on the new system. If you have other specials you believe are broken, or if these specials are working for you (and actually effective) please correct me.

I believe Thick Skin does reduce the amount of damage done to the pet. Don't add it to the "working" list yet tho' ... I have a pet I can test this with and will report back ... this is a great list to have sticked. I already wasted three ability slots on a pet with Frenzied Blitz only to find it did absolutly nothing! ![]()
Ok, I tested Thick Skin and ...
Without Thick Skin, my Roa Kwi Pack Leader was consistantly taking 71 points damage when sent after a Bloodseeker Mite Drone.
I then trained in Thick Skin L1 and he was consistantly taking 71 points damage when sent after a Bloodseeker Mite Drone.
I then trained in Thick Skin L2 and he was consistantly taking 71 points damage when sent after a Bloodseeker Mite Drone.
I then trained in Thick Skin L3 and he was consistantly taking 71 points damage when sent after a Bloodseeker Mite Drone.
Looked bad for this ability but then I stored the pet and called the pet and sent him after a Bloodseeker Mite Drone again and now he was consistantly taking53 points damage!
My conclusion is: store and call your pet after training! And, it looks like Thick Skin L3 reduces damage taken by about 25%.
I know this is just one simple test but I will continue to train my "tanks" with Thick Skin L3 ...

If you want to double-check the missing abilities, you can look through this list (Excel file). I have marked the most common reported abilities, so the holes are fairly apparent, moreso if you sort each section by level.
It certainly looks like a trend that L3 versions of triggered combat attacks are non-existent, which leads me to believe it's as designed. I'll have to see if I can get an answer.
Beastly Constitution does work on both BE pets and wild pets
However, it seems to only affect the regen when the pet is not in combat. Not sure if this is intended or not.

If this is the case, then what the Lok is the point?
I swear, how do the devs breathe with their heads up a rancor's behind like this?
it'a protection is level based, my CL 70 pet gets 7000 armor from it, my CL 15 or so pet got about 1000.
and it appears L2 and L3 dont add any more protection after L1
The list is correct, all the non-innate level 3s + fleetfooted3 + the pinning attacks.
In regard to teaching a pet a new level or ability, the pet will not obtain that ability until you store it and recall after teaching it.
Thick Skin and beastlyappear ok for me, some noticable effect. The developers have never issued a definitive listing of the commands and what they are expected to do at what levels. So are they working correctly? Who the heck would know

Thanks for the feedback so far folks. Added Bleeding Attack (L3) and removed Thick Skin.

I wonder if they'll start showing up on cl70+ creatures in the new expansion?

just a quick not about thick skin:

I don't believe this was my experience. I trained Thick Skin L1, stored and tested. I trained Thick Skin L2, stored and test. L3 etc.
Each level increased the damage absorbed by the level 70 pet, up to 8000 armor rating. 56% of damage asborbed if I recall correctly.
