Thread: A Creature Handler Population Increase?

Over the past few weeks, ive noticed a very large increase in Creature Handler numbers on Chimaera. There are a fair few MCH's around, as well as a lot of novice and up and coming ones, asking me for training and teaching. This is definatly a good sign in my opinion, that many people are moving to CH, as in my opinion... coupled with a combat class and ranger tracking is the most fun profession.

We are not a dieing breed (at least not on Chimaera)

Whats the populations like on other servers?

On Chilastra it seems to be the opposite. Yes, there are a some novices but most of them give it up after a week or two. I can not count how many novices I trained only to send them a tell a week or two later to find out they gave it up. Part of the problem is the slow XP and alot of them find out that the pets are useless and they have no way to make money besides the missions. When I do a find on CH it almost always comes up empty.

I play on both Chemaera and Infinity. On infinity (Swordmans/CH) i only have 3 boxes to go then i'm a MCH. but i agree i have noticed that a lot of ppl on both servers are turning CH. hopefully if they dont get tired of it we'll have some more voices to shout at the Devs to fix ur prof.

I been wondering if it has anything to do with the Combat Rebalance If/when it gets here, as i've heard alot of talk saying we're be used alot more, ppl needing our pets to get better missions and to tank again

Have been toying with the idea of a Wookie Bountyhunter/CH on Chimeara.

Same thing on tempest.... in the last 2 weeks I have had 2 people ask me to help them start CH... one was a player that has been around a while and another who just started the game. I am also getting swamped with requests for pets and wanting me to train their current pets....Nice to see....

On Intrepid, I run into one ever so often, but not very much.

on thing i have noticed .. because of the 'frogs' on beta and test ... a lot of people decided to try out things that they would have never leveled up .... i have gotten a lot of comments or tells asking this and that about CH ... when i ask them what made them decide to try it i hear this line most of the time

'well i made up a MCH on test and liked it so i am going for it here'

Ditto on valcyn

On the RARE occasion I am able to log in I generally see alot more CH's than I used to

I think it is because CH offers a nice break from the monotony of other professions and is new content for alot of people.

I am a returning MCH. I missed my pets and the gaming experience with pets.

I also can't wait to start going after the "rares" I didn't do that before.

Considering the mindset and overall enviroment of Bloodfin (heavy PvP) as you can imagine CH inst exaclty high on the flavor of the week list. There are a few MCHs running around, but I think I can honestly count them on all on my fingers lol. I have seen an increase in more people dabbling in CH though. I'm sure they eventually drop it however for a more PvP friendly class however. Speculation, yes, but its a pretty fair assumption that CH will never be a popular class on Bloodfin.

Certainly see a few knocking around Bria....but then they're probably outnumbered by Bothans so that's not saying a lot!

On Scylla I have run intothree orfour new CHs in the lastthree weeks and I have maybe seen one master in that same amount of time. If that's an increase, we are worse off than I thought...

I don't think many of the new CHs have a realistic view of our profession and will probably quit once the reality starts to set in. Only those who can handle being gimped and useless for the sake of playing a profession they enjoy will stick it out in hopes that the mythical "Combat Rebalance" will restore some sense of purpose.
