Thread: Most efficient way to gain CH xp? and dare i say... fighting xp??
The best way to get CH exp is still killing those low level mobs near citywith 2 pets.
I have been doing it for a long time and I get average about 20k CH xp per hour depends on what time I play.
Usually I grind in the morning, because there are less ppl play at this time and there are a lot mobs around city I can kill..
During peak hours, I just do missions with my pet. It's slow exp but you can earn some money..
Hmm... If you just want to grind up to master you can go to naboo (any city) run about 2k meters out where nobody else is and find 3 or 4 lairs that are close to each other. Then Tame/Train/Destroy and keep going from lair to lair. When you do your training train the skills that give you new commands first. This will give you 100 more xp per tame. Once you get management 3 you can have a low level pet out. Run around taming the babys and killing the adults for a little extra CH xp. There is a taming guide on stratics written by a powergamer that breaks down exactly how many baby's you need to tame for each box and what order to train your skills in. Total I think it's about 900 babys to make master. Once you get high enough in the CH tree to kill high level mobs you can just get in a few kicks yourself for some good TK xp.
If you want to actually enjoy the climb then trying new pets and attacking different mobs with them is the way to go. Might want some medic skills too though.
Group hunt on dath or endor. I get about 20-30K CH xp and 300000 carbine per hour of steady killing with a seasoned group.
i was able to get one complete skill box each night hunting in a good size group on endor hunting mereks.
towards the end i was getting 900 per pet, per creature.

MASTER CH
I'll post what I did to get MCH, and I've recommended it to everyone I've talked to on my server, and it's working for them too:
You already have 0-0-1-0, that's a nice start. Next get 1-1-1-1. You can easily do this just running around any starter planet killing whatever low-level mob you see, just make sure to use a low level pet too (full-grown), or a CL15-25 pet baby.
Next work on getting 1-1-1-3. This could seem to take long, believe me, but you will fly through the rest of the CH tree once you get this. To get there quicker, go to a harder planet, like Endor, Dathomir, Dantooine, or even Lok (not hard, but many groups there killing anything and everything, and less deaths too within your group).
Once you get Management 3, then geta Malkloc (Dathomir, big dino thing) and Cu Pa (Tatooine). You will be able to use both at one time. You can also use any combination of "main" pet CL21 or below, and baby pet CL4 or below. At this point keep doing the above planets. Again you might want to consider Lok because the enemies are not as hard, yet you still get nice XP and there are always big groups there (sometimes CH only groups, on my server anyway). Then work your way as follows:
2-1-1-3
2-2-1-3
3-3-1-3 - Can use Grand Wrix / Greater Sludge Panther combo at this point
3-4-2-3
3-4-3-3
3-4-4-3
3-4-4-4
4-4-4-4
You might ask, "why leave taming 4 for last?". Reason is because you want to keep leveling up as quick as possible. In order to do that you don't really want to use anything higher than a CL30 pet in combination with something else. Once you can use the GW/GSP combo (or GW/GW, GSP/GSP), I highly recommend visiting Lok at this point.
Get a group and go Kimo hunting. If you find a lair you just hit a gold mine! With that combo, you can usually get 4K CH XP per Kimo (not Kimo Hatchling, but Kimo). Finding a lair is going to yield about 8-10 Kimos, which is roughly 32K - 40K CH XP per lair. Ina decent sized group (5 people or more) you can run through a lair in 30-40 minutes, maybe less depending on skills of those in a group (my small group yesterday of three, myself included: master rifleman, master pistoleer, novice commando; we ran through a lair in 15-20 minutes tops).
Hope this helps.

Is this true? I thought this gave you a total pet level of 40; meaning a GW/(<18) or GSP/(<19). I hope its true!
unfortunately he is wrong, and you are right.
3/3/1/3 give you a max level of pets out of 40, and to use a GW and a GSP you will need 45,so either management IV or training IV is needed for that
the very best way to make xp is to hunt noob mobs with baby cl 20+ creatures. go tame a baby mtn dew (n of bestine, they are everywhere) and use it till it hits cl 4 (next day). when i was working up to mch, i would tame a pair of mtn dews each morning, and hunt arond entha/espa (whichever was least populated) 100+ pts per rill,x2 if you hae 2 pets out, adds up quick. and your pets only have to get in 1 hit to get full xp. let the pet hit, kip-up the creature, harvest (via macro & ctrl-key) and you never even stop moving.
you also get a load of resources to sell ![]()

I constantly see people giving this advice when a novice is asking for the best way to get exp.
A NOVICE CAN'T USE 2 PETS.
Even if they train only in management line, they still need 157,500 exp to get lvl 3 for 2 pets and at that it would only be 2 non agro pets totalling CL 15.
Best exp I've found is using babies of 15+ lvl adults. 100ish ch exp per kill on the spawns right outside starter cities. Yea it takes some time but the risk is very very low.
Other options is once you get some decent pets up I don't think the TK exp will be a problem. So I would suggest you continue with the groups on Dath or whereever until you can call out 2 nice tanks(GW or GSP seem to be the best for lower levels). At that point you might be able to solo and get the TK exp you want.
