Thread: Dantooine spawn rate screwed up again?
Message Edited by TivoTenook on 02-14-2004 04:47 PM
I spent 3 hours today west of the imp outpost on dant looking for graul spawns.
*WITHOUT EXCEPTION* The only nests I saw were mission nests. I didn't even see so much as a huurton, unless it was a mission nest.
This was on chilastra

On Ahazi, Talus is pretty darn close to empty. Saw a few mission lairs, but very few wild ones.
Corellia seems to be doing just fine.
Is it my imagination, or are there more CPU cycles devoted to the starter worlds in the cluster farms than to the adventure worlds?
Lok on Chilastra. I traveled from the south edge of the map to the north edge of the map, along the eastern side, and saw not one living thing.
Very spooky.
Dantooine in general, I usually have to travel a couple km's before finding any lairs or spawns, and it's usually areas that always have a spawn of some type there. I guess some days more than others I will find less than the usual scarce spawns.
Dathomir, on the other hand, is exactly the opposite. I think the Dev's need to suck some of the saturated spawns out of Dathomir and infuse moreon Dantooine.

i've noticed upon animal hunting that if you hang around a small area for an extended period of time, you'll start to see networks of lairs and spawns appearing all over the place.
otherwise i normally see the planets fairly emptry.
Now that I think about it a bit more, I was seeing this to some extent on Ahazi Talus; but not in close to Dearic. Out in the wild, some 3-5km away from civilization more lairs were popping up.
The thing is nowadays, I travel great distances almost exclusively by swoop or speeder. But even when I rather deliberately went by mount from Dearic to the kahmurra research station, there were very few lairs around. I did this because it's known that if you zip through on a speeder, you'll see fewer lairs, and I was looking for kahmurras to milk (which is why I was headed out to the kahmurra station, hoping to find a bunch of docile kahmurras with their very primo (on Ahazi) domesticated milk).
On the other hand, I get aggroed by driveby mobs on Corellia all the time, when moving out in the wilds away from the cities. Monumenters, the ubiquitous diseased vrelts, swoopers, the occasional aggro butterfly types and mottled wrix, and if you're in the right place, a giant dalrayke or giant carrion spat.
