Thread: Pinning Attack... any bright ideas?
I was thinking some form of spider (web attack) or a cat type (pounce). Perhaps a Great Plains Stalker, Swamp Stalker, or Plains Hunter would have this ability? Since they are rare spawns, that might be why the ability hasn't been reported yet...
Just a thought. Any ideas?
One way to find it, is, go to swgcreatures.com, list all tameable pets, and tame them, until you get 3 different abilities from every creature (just like you mentioned in your other thread with the pet special groups).
Then the following cases could occur:
1.) Pinning attack doesn't pop up, but there are some creatures, which only give 2 different specials.
From a programmers point of view, that could mean, that still every group consists of 3 specials, but since pinning attack is bugged, it doesn't show up.
2.) Pinning attack doesn't pop up, but all creatures gave 3 different specials.
Again, from a programmers point of view, that could mean, that this special simply isn't in the game, since pets are assigned a predefined group of specials and not one single special.
3.) You find the pet, which has the ability "Pinning Attack".

When in game, enter /pet and follow it with the Tab key. This will bring up a list ofcommands that start with /pet.
There are 8 /pet(Ability) commands listed. /petPinAttack is one of those commands. When used, a system message pops up that it is linked to Pinning Attack. The other 7 commands do the same thing, for their respective Abilities.
this is arguably the best special were being given... I hope its out there. Has anyone tamed a gps or swamp stalker after the patch?

What does the description say in the Training box? Is it a root attack?

I'm still sceptical that this skill exists because of the 3 specials for every creature pattern. If you devide 3 into 24 specials it devides perfectly, 3 into 25 leaves a remainder of 1.

However eye gouge seems to be common across many types so if Eye gouge is common then there could be 24 specific accross types making it evenly divisible
