The short answer: We don't know.

Logically, it will be at level 4 of something.

Personally, (as a BE) I would like to see some profit my way, but I don't think it's gonna happen......

What they could do, I think would be cool, BE make differnt types of mounts, (copper, iron, Platinum, ect) And CH Put them on the pets! SO both make profits

I believe I read in a recent interview that it will probably require Creature Training 4 to tame mounts.

I think its either going to be Train 2 or Train 4...

in the interview they said advanced training... in one of the old builds advanced pistol was the second tier skill... I don't care one way or the other... I'm 3.2.2.3 I can grind up to Train 4 in a couple of days with 2 babies out.. It would be nice if the Devs would give us a definate answer though

But I seriously thing that Mounts Should be dependant on Empathy! Like empathy 2 you can make Bad Mount, Empathy 4, Make a good mount, Master CH make The best possible mounts (with help of BE of corse)

IGNPC: Anything else new coming soon?

Kevin O'Hara:
We'll have player mounts coming in the next major update, which will allow Creature Handlers with Advanced Training ability to train for riding a variety of species including Dewback and Kaadu, among several others. Creature mounts will be useful in transversing the planets as they can generally maintain speeds that characters can only reach in short bursts. Riders won't be defenseless while riding either, though they'll have to dismount if they want to take advantage of their professional combat moves.

OK. I know that I should know this one, but I'm obviously missing a couple brain cells now, so:

How do you train a mount? I've collected a brackaset, a carrion spat, and a kaduu to learn how on. Since I have gotten them, I would pull them out each day, and hit the radial in an attempt to get the Mount training command. Unfortunately, it doesn't come up?

So, how do you actually train a mount? Do I need to wait until the critter is fully grown? Or am I missing something (most likely)?

Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.

They do have to grow, to a certian size belore the can be trained.

As stated in another post by Skibot

It differs from what lvl the pet is gonna be. Like a lvl 30 brackaset can only be mounted when its around lvl 18

but a carrion spat around lvl 6 and its gonna be lvl 10.

also just to make sure, you have the correct skill box to train mount yes?

Also, when looking for mount it is under the train menu. It is on the bottom of what you can train. I had trouble withthis thinking it was on radial menu when it shows up under the training part.

Hope that helps

Thanks guys. Looks like I just have to be patient....not my strongest point all the time.

Sorry for the dumb question, and for not seeing the other thread properly.

First, you need management 4 to have the skill. Then each creature varies as to when it can be trained based on it's physical size. The creature must be large enough for the saddle to fit. The giant carrion spat can be trained as soon as you tame it and it's size will be stunted. this is because at full grown it would be too large to fit the saddle. All others must grow for a while before they can be trained as a mount.

Once the pet is physically large enough, you'll get the mount option on the radial menu.
