After Pet Call Timer patch...

I'm out here on dath fighting Rancor vs Rancor... when all of a sudden my rancor decideds he's tired and autostores. So i burst run away from the now Agro'd rancor and he decides its not worth his time to pursue me anymore. Awesome..open my data pad, select my nice Rancor.. hit call... now my 30 second timer starts... during that time i try to stay away from Mr. Agro Rancor.. but no luck he comes over and incaps me and deathblows me before my timer is out... oh whats that... my pet just arrived...

Our pets are our weapons.. Why not put a 30 seconds equip timer on a rifle... It doesn't make sense...

You can argue we can call these huge pets out of no where... Its all about tactics... know your opponent.. know what your getting yourself into...

Just my opinion

You wouldn't be able to call anyways since you can't call a pet while your in combat.

The time it takes too pull out a pet(s), 30 secs, is the time it takes me to open my inv, assemble a camp and run around to find a spot; ok, maybe 40 secs, when the camp doesn't disappear on me, but you get the picture, it's basically the same thing because of the timer. You need to drop it to 20 secs, i think that's reasonable compromise, anything higher and your simply substituting one thing for another. Thanks.

Actually, you have to wait 60s after combat ends before you can even pull out a pet. That 30s wait is now 90s. Sweet huh?

you are under the assumption that we actually have to make every camp we have by hand, and that we'd be trying to place a camp right next to a lair, which is untrue 98% of the time.

you CAN make camps via factory and carry crates around. you DO know that, right?

The timer seems to be more to solve vehicle exploits than CH exploits. A Commando could flame someone up, hop on a bike and ride off for a minute or two, then go back and finish the job.

As all the calling code is tied together, we CH just seem to get caught in the middle.

I'd like to see them leave the current camp system in as well as bring in the new system.People with camps could go about "business as usual", while those that don't would still be able to call pets/vehicles that go AWOL.

Actually i have camps in crate as well, i craft em as i run though, so that's not the issue. The problem is on popluated planets/places, oh say Bestine, the surrounding area is FULL of houses, as well as lairs;placing acamp requires some running away around, so i craft em since i won't need em right away. I guess on less popluated planets, where there aren't as many houses it wouldn't be THAT much a problem(?). I generally only pull out a camp from a crate when i can place it quickly.

What?? There's ALREADY a 60 sec timer BEFORE AND AFTER combat. Why would you need another 30??

Our pets are NOT our weapons. Our pets are companions akin to having a friend fightin alongside us. When was the last time you saw a floating rifle next to your side firing? Never. BTW, if the rancor aggros you, you still wouldn't be able to call the pet if there was no 30 second timer.

There are also plenty of pet-calling instances that don't require a camp. Calling from a city or in a house doesn't take 30 seconds, and this will be nerfed too.

Im thinking about giving myself a signature. It would go something like this:

If you have a yellow-orange signature referring to people who in any way criticize this game for its many failings as idiots, then please give yourself a pinecone enema.

Thats just stupid... 30 seconds... it takes long enough to do things in the game as it is... maybe they should change that to 30 seconds outside of a camp or rural area but no delay inside one. Why should have to sit and stare at our watches while our bikes or mounts generate? Last time I checked you called something cause you needed it ASAP, not 30 seconds. And if this plays out like other aspects in the game that means a minute and a half to get something after combat (u call it before the timer is up and then if waits after the timer dies by about 10 secs and tells you you cant). Extra mounts are nice and calling them outside of camps and rurals sounds good but in this case the negative outways the possitive. I can grind a camp and stake it faster than the timer to spawn.

30 seconds is too long. What is it with SOE and making us wait on stuff (Exp: Shuttles). Anyway, I understand a timer but i dont want to wait 30 seconds. Although I am thankful that we wont needs camps anymore so my other charectors wont be left out in the middle of no where since they dont have scout.
