Thread: do you ever use 3 pets at a time?
I only have 3 pets out when doing missions on Tat for fun. I pull out my 2 GW and then ride my Mountain Dew into battle.
I did have a Mottled Wrix to go with my 2 GW, but I released her.
Otherwise, I do not feel having 3 pets out matters at all. If we could have 3 GW or GSP of the old variety out at once then that would be better. I miss my GWs having Light Armor. Those were the days.
I miss having3 wild pets, worth their salt, out for battle.
Back when I could do it, I'd run around with three pets all the time on the starter worlds. I'd only call out the gurreck, the gaping spider hunter, or the rancor when there was serious stuff to fight. However, for routine meatlump bashing around Coronet I'd use a CRC, a bull ronto, and a male mammien, just to enjoy the animations and the sounds. You didn't need the pets to kill the meatlumps, but it was just fun watching them in combat.
Favorite combo was 2 GSPs and a kusak stalker prior to pub 5. After that, it was 2 GSPs and my dewback mount.
Since the great December nerf and all the bugs that followed I rarly even bother to bring even 1 out. Sigh. But when I do I usually only bring out 2 cause I dont have a combination adding to 70 that I like yet.

Hi
I have 5 razar cats, i get 3 out for fighting and after the fight i put the one with the damage in my datapat, and pull another one out to make it 3 again, i can have another fight and do this once more, the others in my datapat are slowly healing. ![]()

I used to use a trio of Grand Wrixes before the Publish 5 hammer and the hologrind pulled me a way.
I miss them. (Lara), (Flynn) and (Boyle).
I'm thinking of a future arrangement where I would use a trio of Huurton Stalkers (CL33 each).
They seem to hold their own pretty well, They've solo'd Rancor and Kimo. I've yet to try them on Krayt. I have no weapon skills, so they have to do all the work. I just run between the legs of the rancor stimming as needed.

Like mentioned earlier, it was good to have two pets attacking and a third watching your back. Nowadays, I have one big pet attack and my little Mountain Dewback watch my back.
Now the mobs tend to go after you no matter what, even if you are not attacking. Last night I was fighting Dewbacks to waste time. Two of them decided they wanted to take me down, and no matter how hard my TMB and Boar wolf tried, they couldn't get them to leave me alone. After I incapped, my pets finished off one of the dewbacks. My TMB stopped fighting but my Boar wolf was still at it with the other dewback. Just before I recovered from incap, 2 more dewbacks spawned. They didn't join in on the boar wolf, they just laid there. As soon as I stood up I sent in my TMB to help my Boar wolfe. At that moment, the 2 new dewbacks agroed me and put me down in one hit. I never fired a shot.
It was terrible. I was taken down by dewbacks, normal dewbacks. This had never happened, even in the early days. I take down Rancors and Screechers with no real danger to me, but a lot of healing to my pets afterwards. However, against Dewbacks I was owned. I really wish I could have hada third pet out to pull attempt to pull the agro.
So my point to this story is, not only did we lose the ability to have out three decent pets (i.e 3 GW or GSP), but those pets also lost part of their defense (armor) and mobs will still run past them to agro you.
Very disturbing.
