This is a good Idea I had, okay: Exceptional and legendary creatures. These would be like normal creatures but... better, like for instance an excpetional rancor with... say... 12000 ham, 50-70 resists, and like 500-800 attack. Also, these would spawn babies, but veeeeeeeeery rarely, like one in 50,000 for excpetional, and one in a million for legendary. Your initail reaction may be "Creature handeler is already too strong! why make it stronger" well, that is not true at all, almost any elite combat profession can beat aMCH in combat with almost no contest, and creature handeler is... well... BORING, all you do is buy a BE pet, and kill stuff with it, well, these exceptional and legendary pets would be even BETTER then BE pets and give areason to go exploring. Also, non-baby exceptional and legendary pets would spawn rarely too (but not AS rarely) and they would give massive XP for killing them.

On the same token, how about varying the stats of creatures in the wild, because not all grauls were created equaly, thats for sure, so maybe stats could vary a little with tamed pets, like one might have 178-223 damage while another one has 208-295 damage or one has 32% energy resists, while another has 38% energy resists.

These changes would, not ONLY perevent bio engineers from having a monopoly on pets, but also add some much needed content to the creature handeler profession, making it much more fun and exciting to be, and also make it so it could be someones primary profession, instead of complementing another profession, so someone could get CH for combat, and then get taiolr because they want to craft.

Edited version:

This is a good idea I had. Exceptional and legendary creatures; these would be like normal creatures, except a littlebetter. For instance, an excpetional rancor with 12000 ham, 50-70 resists, and 500-800 attack. Also, these would spawn babies, butvery rarely, like one in 50,000 for excpetional, and one in a million for legendary. Your initail reaction may be "Creature handler is already too strong! Why make it stronger?" Well, this is a misconception, almost any 'elite' combat profession can beat aMCH in combat with almost no contest. Another downside to 'Creature Handler' isboring. For the most part, all you do is buy a BE pet, and PvE with it. Well, these exceptional and legendary pets would be even better than BE pets and give areason to go exploring, and quite possibly use the profession in PvP for a good reason.

On the same token, how about varying the stats of creatures in the wild, because not all grauls were created equally. So maybe stats could vary a little with tamed pets, like one might have 178-223 damage while another one has 208-295 damage or one has 32% energy resists, while another has 38% energy resists.

These changes would notonly perevent Bio-Engineers from having a monopoly over 'Creature Handlers', but also add some much needed content to the 'Creature Handler' profession. I believe these changes would make 'Creature Handler' a much more exciting profession to use. It wouldalso make it so it could be someones primary profession, instead of complementing another profession, so someone could get 'Creature Handler'for combat, and then possibly get tailorifthey want to craft.

and for the skeptics: think of it this way: all other combat professions have exceptional and legendary weapons, most crafting professions have exceptional and legendary resources, or at the very least, VARYING resources, while creature handelers have nothing better then "average" except for bio engineer pets that can cost some people a fortune (I dont need you saying "I only charge 10k for good BE pets")

Elrond, you should check out the copious posts on this forumn where people enlessly whine about how hard it is to find the bull rancors and other "very rare" babbies. They complain about how they have tried for weeks and not found a single one. Your legendary creatures would only inspire further complaings form the "I must have everything" crowd.

Not saying its a bad idea, but no matter what you do some CH somewhere will complain about it. Personaly I think its a good idea, but one the Dev's have already implimented to some extent. Unfortunately it was greeted with a resounding chorus of complaints.

Fun idea, but I have a sneaking suspicion that most of us will only see overcharged durnis, not nighsister attack rancors.

Sounds good to me. This would almost go hand in hand with making boss creatures rarely tamable (though boss creatures are perhaps a little too easy to spawn on purpose).

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a little variety among different members of a particular wild species. It has always seemed strange to me that they all have the exact same stats and physical attributes (size, color, etc) when tamed.

The variety is a nice idea, but it seems clear that the Little Database That Can't is already severely overextended, despite the melon nerf. Can't see anything that adds more complexity as ever getting on the dev radar.
