I propose that Master Rangers with at least CH 3 0 0 0 ought to be better Creature Handlers than all you guys that waste your time dumping all those skill points into the CH profession. Seriously now, Rangers are Master Scoutsand thus are way more qualified in the ways of the wilderness that non-master Scouts.

What do you think about dem apples??

CH needs to stay in the CH trees.CH is totally different then ranger. just because you can harvest more and see more stuff when you examine the creature doesnt mean you have the knowlege to control, tame and use that animal. im 0/0/3/0 in ranger and there is a major difference between the 2 professions. and thats just the way its suppose to be

Well...it takes a lot of skill points to Master Ranger.... not to mention LOTS of patience...all that darn camping. Anyway, I want to be a Master Ranger because they are awsome, and I also want to master a combat profession. That doesn't let me have enough skill points left to master Creature Handler. It's not fair that only people with lots of skill points dumped into CH are allowed to have those awsome pets. A Master Ranger ought to be able to have awsome pets too. I don't mind it if you guys get some of the CH commands thatperhaps Master Rangers don't have....that way there's still a reason to go MCH if you want those commands.

I think master ranger should ENHANCE master Creature handler, and not require so many skill points. Other than that, thanks for stopping by.

You made a choice on what professions youcan play. So play them and quit trying to get freebies from other professions. You want free points, try Politician.

Ranger does enhance Creature Handler by allowing you to see creature levels, their defensvie bonuses to determine if the baby is worth taiming, and the ability to feed them through forageing.

The logic of this escapes me.I agree that Rangers should be (and they are) more qualified in the ways of wilderness than non-master scouts. But what does that have to do with Creature Handlers?

Rangers are better at trapping, harvesting, making camps, terrain negotiation, tracking- all wilderness skills - than any other profession. Creature Handlers are better at taming, training, controlling creatures -which are not wilderness skills but handler skills - than any other profession. As has been pointed out, Rangers are actually better at identifying creatures than Creature Handlers, and I have no problems with that as I can easily see how identifying creatures would be a wilderness skill.

So, what does being a Ranger have to do with being a Creature Handler? While there is some relation, they are two very different professions.

This is an excellent idea. I propose an 85% chance for a creature not to listen to an ordinary Creature Handler's command, which would be brought down to 0% with a special Ranger-only skill. Also, additional pets and max level of pets modifiers should all be moved to the 4xxx line of Creature Handler, giving Rangers with this line the ability to control any and all creatures.

(Note to Creature Handlers - this is just a silly attempt to poke fun at the MBH vs Inv3/melee BH imbalance in the fights against Jedi. )

You guys should really read all of the post before posting your own replies.

Just becasue you can KILL an animal faster does not make youa good pet owner.

When I master CH, I will have the ability to call out 3 pets at the same time. With my pets, I can pull out harder missions that pay better, and when my buffs run out, my pets keep me alive by occupying the rancor until I can recover and escape. My pets HELP me fight, so I can take on animals or swarming animals I could not possibly tackle alone. When I need a break from fighting, I can tame a squall or kima, take it to town and it will be the center of attention in the cantina.

That is a much better use of my time than being able to build a fancy camps that I sit in by myself (how many rangers do you see sitting for hours on end in a camp, alone, doing nothing?)

Now, what do you thing about dem apples??

Even given the second posters caveat about being a 'joke'... I fail to understand why it's a topic of conversation here?

Also, I see no evidence that the original poster was joking... but I sure hope they were.
