Continuing..... I have many times looted a skill enhacing attachment off of npcs and i cannot figure out how they work. I have tried selecting "use" in the radial menu, dragging the attachment onto other items. I end up deleting them, but really would like to use them. Are they bugged. Can someone help me?

Clothing and other tailor items (armor too? Not sure, I don't use it) will come with Sockets (anywhere from 0-4). You can mount these items in these sockets. The more the better (good way to compare two similarly priced items of clothing. More sockets = better crafting). Just like power ups for your clothes.

unless they tweaked it here's how the stat enhancers worked, youhave a piece of clothing that is named in yellow (means its got some sockets) examine it and see how many are available.equip this clothing, then drag and drop your skill enhancer on the clothing and viola! glad to hear "the stat eggs" are still in game. i'll hafta start looking for some.hope this helps.

There seem to be 2 types of Skill Enhancing Attachments now. One has a graphic of what I think looks like a roll of tape, that one can just be dropped into an empty clothing slot. The other looks like a bone segment plate and it will not fit into any of those slots and can't seem to be built into armour. I've heard the plate variety has to be sliced by a smuggler with teh appropriate skill, but I've yet to confirm this.

Ok, I have some clothing with open sockets, but why is it that some skill attachments cannot be put into those sockets? I have one that looks like a roll of paper that works fine, but there is another that is shaped almost like a silver plate that will not fit into any of the slots in my clothing.

Is this not meant to fit in the clothing? What types of items do you need to have with slots in order to use this attachment?

You need a tailor to make the clothing that will allow the skill enhancers to be put into the sockets.

you need a bio-engineer to make the biological component that is used by the tailor to make the clothing for the enhancers.

My gloves have three open sockets, and one of them is filled with an attachment, the one that looked like a rolled up piece of paper, but the one that looks like a silver plate will not fit in. Also, I have pants with three open sockets and the attachment won't fit into that either.

So a tailor needs to do this for me?

The square plate is for using in armor. I believe it can only be used when actually crafting the armor.

Well ive collected some very good skill enhancing attachments since i started (all the tape kind, not the panels-thats for a diff post) and im a little confused as to whether or not they are working. Heres an example:

I have one that adds +6 to volley Fire Bonus
I added it to some gloves, and when i equip, under my current skills it states:
Volley Fire Bonus +0/+6

Now i understand basically, i had no volley fire points, and now that i am wearing the item, i have 6. but does that mean the system currently recognizes me as having 6 points, or what.

Say for example i had +1 to take cover skill enhancing item and i added it to a robe. If i never had take cover before and i was wearing the robe i would see:
Take Cover +0/+1
Does this mean i would be able to use the skil take cover?

So basically my question is, has anyone had success with skill enhancing attachments? Is this what they are supposed to do? The second x in +x/+x, is that just so u can tell the stat was gained form an item?
Anyways, please help if u understand the process. thanks.

This is a little off-topic, but perhaps the Merchant Correspondant can do something about it

Skill Enhancing Attachments should have a category of its own in the bazaar. There arefar too many up for sale, andare in suchhigh demand to also have to filter through therest of the Misc. Items category. I believe they warrant a category of their own with subcategories of armor or clothing attachments.

Any support out there?
