Thread: Firefox and SOE?
Also if your graphic settings are set to high on your graphics card I found that it won't let you use JAVA properly! This is wierd. I had to set my options in desktop to balanced to use Java Apps..I have experienced this with ATI Cards.

Can any firefox users logout, and try logging back in for me and see if they can?
arguments of why you think it should be but its not) I use it
exclusively though and I can use the graphical editor just fine, on my
work and home computers, so it is probably some personal setting
keeping you from using it.

garva the only thing that doesnt work is that submitt button.. not sure what settings affect that. It may be the same settings that prevent those pseudo links on the main page from working hence why you usually have real links in the text intead of the topics. Any idea what settings us firefox users should look for? Running default security and most recent java. |

I have been using Mozilla FireFox quite a while now, without any problems at all! I am also spending quite a LOT of time on these forums, and as I said, not had any problems at all so far. It might be that some of your settings are mixed up or something. But Im quite happy with FireFox and will be using it in the future too |

I believe it is the newer versions of Java that cause the problem. Lithium only supports those crappy MS Java version I believe. And just so everyone knows ... Per Lithium Wide browser support Despite their unique breadth of browser-demanding and sophisticated features, Lithium Enterprise Forums provide 96% to 99% browser coverage for the end user. Lithium InterActive is fully supports IE. 4.0 and above for Windows, Netscape 6 and above for Windows, AOL 4.0 and above, I.E 5.22 for Mac, Safari 1.0, Mozilla 1.0 and above (official versions only), Firefox 1.0 and above (official versions only), Opera 7.2.3. The advanced WYSIWYG editor is supported for IE 5.5 and above, Mozilla 1.3b and above, and Firefox 1.0 and above. Browser detection rules allow the support of older browsers with reduced functionality. My understanding from a lithium dev who i know is that the issues are with different Java versions and NOT Mozilla/Firefox or even Safari/KHTML. If i install older versions of Java it works just fine. There's a seperate issue with cookies, firefox, and some versions of lithium. I can use current alphas of mozilla w/o cookie problems but any version of firefox beyond 1.0 I lose my cookies if I close my browser. thats really bad then because older version of java are MAJOR vulnerabilities to trojans and exploits. Theres not a snowball's chance I will run the swiss cheese version .. aka MS version of java |

I find it funny how many websites only support IE. Like sure 85% of all people use IE but what about the other 15%. Your losing 15% of your customers. IMO.
if they stuck with true HTML and not proprietary crap it would support 100% of all browsers
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been dealing with this since I started playing again, and have had to resort to posting on work time from the PC here...sent in bug reports and emails, but SOE gave me NO info about this. Someone should send a link to this thread to all the CSR's out there.
Tak
