Thread: I love the CU!!

Realistically, we didn't even get nerfed that hard. What did we lose? Mind buffs? Gods, those were annoying. Mind wounds? Worthless. BF took much longer to heal anyway. Anything else? Nope. Now, we have buffs that are actually useful (+10% XP is kind of nice), are applied passively, and actually effect us as well. What's not to like? Unless you were a buffbot.
Not sure that we HAVE to group.. Since CU Ive spent most nights soloing due to guild mates being on at a differant time, I can solo LvL 79-81 Rebel missions (Im LvL 80).. I think it just comes down to practice and unlearning what you learned pre CU .. Don't get me wrong I died many horrible deaths in Test Center a week before CU release and thought it was all over but in time persistance has paid off.
Soloing has become fun then again I get most fun out of grouping with my PA mates when we are all on at the same time
anywayz *bump* for the positive thread ![]()

Its better than positive feedback from kissarses.
LMFAO
Very true
By whining about whiners, doesn't that make you a whiner too?
By your post I would guess you are an adolescent yourself, BTW nothing wrong with adolescence.

You guys that don't like to group DO know that Lucas Arts has single player Star Wars RPG merchandise available on the shelves right?
Yes, I do know that. But there is a different feel when you can talk to friends while fighting solo and the ability group occasionally.
I love the CU too. Here are a few things that I have noticed since since it went live:
People using ranged weapons instead of just twirly-kicking everything.
People using more than one special.
People wearing every type of armor in the game, instead of just composite.
People using every type of weapon in the game, instead of just the top-of-the-line ones.
People working together in groups, instead of working by themselves in "solo groups".
People being challenged by the content in the game.
This is all I needed to see. The CU works.
Bradshaw and I saw everthing we needed to see as well. The CU did not work for us. So long and have fun.

Amen to that. CU gets a passing grade on this feature.
People using more than one special.
Really depends on the profession. Smuggler was very cool, Rifleman, was still headshot headshot headshot. CU gets not-completed.

Well this is a matter of interpretation really. You can't wear every type of armor in the game, just the type for your profession. There are more types but please tell me how bone armor on one profession equals ubese on another equals composite on yet another. CU Fails.
People using every type of weapon in the game, instead of just the top-of-the-line ones.
I fail to see this point. There are more weapon types available, but for each Master Profession there is STILL as best choice. CU fails.

The problem preventing groups was the overwhelming superiority of the players to MOBs pre-CU. Grouping made no sense. Back in the beginning days, before the fast grind path was opened up, grouping on Dantooine and hunting voritors was the path to XP and was fun. But is was not required! The multiplayer in MMORPG does not mean you have to group for combat, it just means multiple people make up the world and economy. By pretty much forcing people to group the CU gets a barely passing grade here.
People being challenged by the content in the game.
This is a matter of opinion. Certain victory or certain death because of level superiority simply does not thrill some.
This is all I needed to see. The CU works.
