Thread: Respec news and those who are still in respec period? Is our time cut short?

I was away on vacation during resepc.

So, I only started my respec two weeks ago. I shuold have until monday plus server down time to continue my respec.

Question: Give that scenario, will I be able to continue my respec process after tomorrow for the full three weeks that was originally promised or will my last respec be tomorrow?

Thank you for your time. The community would most likely want to know the answer to this question.

Ya i came back to the game less than a week ago to check out stuff and was looking forward to being able to respec for the next 2 weeks and now i hope this dosent take that away from me.

People with respec time left should be allowed to keep it then get the last respec

Main reason i came back was to play around with the diffrent classes and see how thay had all changed

Ohh well my 2 cents

Thanx and have a super day

Hey Tiggs, does this meen that if I know the date of my first post CU log in, I will still have 3 weeks from that date to /respec?

I came back to the game last week (6 days ago), will I have 3 weeks from that day??? We need clarification.

Alot of folks would really like to know,

Thanks for any help

Server downtime did not extend respec for anyone. So don't count it into your time. It only extended the 12 hours real time to 12 hours server timebetween respec. It did not add to the time (days) you were allowed to respec.

But how does this final respec effect those that just started respec less than a week ago?

Do we get 3 weeks from our first post CU login?

Ah, okay, I was thinking that our time was going to be cut short and everyone's respec was ending on the 8th.

I know it's tough to word things simple-enough so that everyone understands, but also while trying to fit in all the information for all the different variables and all the different people...
But I have to admit that the announcement does not give much reason for anyone with respec-time left to think that their time will continue beyond the 8th.

Also, I have to admit that I am afraid to use respec at all now.

I first logged on Post-CU May 27th... I'd love to mess around and see how other profession combinations perform, so I know what I'm missing by not taking them... but I just don't want to get caught in a Profession that I don't want to keep.

Basically, what is my respec time-period supposed to be (2 Weeks or 20 days from my initial Post-CU Login?) and if it gets cut off short of that without any warnings from the message boards or in-game, do I have a fighting chance to get my character straightened out?

I'd love to do a bit of respec-ing, but I'm a bit leary of it now.

I know it is bad to do but my assumption on how they are doing this is that tomorow the respec counter is going to be turned on for everyone for one respec. Going across the board and such. Now if you had a counter that was set before should not affect that in any way other than the fact that you might get in an extra respec before the normal 12 hours. At least that is way would have tried to set it up to have worked. Now not knowing the systekl or code that they use for the counters and the like might be more involved than that but like said figure that no matter when your last respec was once you log in after the server went down will be able to respec. Then will kick in the 12 hr counter for though who still have time left.

I still think it would be best if the final respec wasn't limted to one playing session, but could be used once at any time instead.
I see a possible, major problem: Client crash/connection loss/serverdown during the 'final respec session'. We all know SWG isn't the most stable game out there. Therefore I suggest, Tiggs, that you have your people change the final respec to a 1-time respec that can be used anytime, be it today, tomorrow, in 4 weeks, 12 months or 15 years, depending on what the player chooses to do.

I would STRONGLY suggest that anyone and everyone who "thinks" they have more time - assume you do not. Get your template to what you'd "prefer" it to be before you logout on the 8th. That way, if you come back and you have no more chance to /respec ...for whatever reason... you're not screwed.

If you log back in and find you have more /respec time ...then go ahead and do whatever. Just make sure you've been counting the days since your first login after the CU because you won't get another "do over" if it gets messed up.
