Thread: Respec news and those who are still in respec period? Is our time cut short?
Once again I say....
I would STRONGLY suggest that anyone and everyone who "thinks" they have more time - assume you do not. Get your template to what you'd "prefer" it to be before you logout on the 8th.
My alt's period ended a week and a half ago (I received his new prof badge at that time), and I know it wasn't a week and a half after the CU hit that I logged in my main for the first time. It WAS a couple days, but no way was it a week and a half.
It would be nice if there was a way to just "turn off" my respec period, because I don't want to change my template anymore.
About time you stopped using words like should, over the last 6 months your team have shown they would have trouble organising apartyin a brewery.

What about Characters that have not yet been logged in Post-CU?
I figured I would only work on my one character at first and learn the ropes before I logged in my others.
I could guess that they will have the full respec period begin once they are logged in, but that is just a guess and I'd love to know.
I do fully understand that the respec period for everyone could be switched off whenever SOE decides it's necessary, but I also hope that we are given more notice than the night before.
There are times when I'm around every night and then there are several days in a row where I'm nowhere near my computer... maybe you could give me a call and let me know?
May the PAW be with you.

Actually all your questions have been answered before. The respec was by design intended to allow players that were profession A/B/C before the CU to try prof D/E/F and see if they liked it. A (originally 2 then extended to 3 weeks) period of time was allocated for this. It was also posted that the /respec command would be guaranteed for a set period, after that it could be removed at any time, with no warning.
So, based on all previous posts, we are here today.
Anyone logged in immediately after the CU got 3 weeks. There was supposed to be a warning message to indicate this period was over - per character. In some cases this never happened. Therefore the FINAL respec is offered during the next session of play after the 08 June server reboot.
Any players not logged in directly after the CU SHOULD get 3 weeks from their first login, but this could be removed at any time.
First (original CU patch notes) post on respec : Note the statement that they can withdraw the /respec process 'down the road'

The post where the extra 6 days were given, and info on the new logged in players getting 21 days. Also contains the warning messages.

I thank you for your efforts and these are the same conclusions I could reach by myself, unfortunately you and I are only guessing and it all hinges on the same word Tiggs used and you have in big capital letters...
"SHOULD".
"Will" or "Won't" followed up by the disclaimer that it could be turned off at any time... Now, that would be an answer.
"Should" equals guesswork.
I'm going to force cloak myself and sneak into the Devs' offices tomorrow... I'll let you know what I find out.
Seriously though, thank you.
