heading vs 20% deleted posts...

are we going to have statement of that letter from HIM personally? Shouldnt be too hard to switch on his notebook, copy

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=communityrelations&message.id=5096#M5096

to the URL bar of whatever browser hes using, and type some serious meant comment....

Iam trying the same now:

1.) What ever feedback you think you have gone from the playerbase, please state it. I mean, very positive, is very general... Plz go on, and say what in specific YOU think, the playerbase likes about the CU and to what perecentage, and how you gained that feedback!

2.) Tellus where you gained the feedback that the playerbase wanted Episode III content?

3.) Tell us, if your going to discuss with us, in some serious meant dev post, how the playerbase feels about the core designs of the CU! I mean, can we go on and try to discuss WITH the devs how we feel about the EQIIness of the whole system? How we feel about the level system, on and on... I think , if you want to write you got feedback on the CU, stop doing these silly polls where you get 50-60% for against CU. Start a discussion with specific Dev attention, where the dev addresses for a while the serious meant posts about the core ideas of the CU which I (and maybe many others) feel like an insult for our dedication to the game!

(we have some posts in TC forum, AS forum for example, were you could just start reading abit, and POST answers to our concerns)

Thx

Hmm they say they listen, yet they dont show it.

How many people would be happy with two changes:

1) Option to use old icons

2) Option to use a combat queue (call it an Action Monitor, or whatever)

Meet us part of the way.

3) Removing of fairy tale effects
4) Removal of "name" Combat Upgrade and changed to "Combat Emulation"

Because what we are offered is not a system that is invented from scratch.. Knowledge Database already tells the truth showing EQ results.. Basically changing a unique system instead of making it "example" for future games, to "turning it to same system as rest of games".

Fact is they really dont have to listen to any of us. They could very well turn the entire thing into a stick figure FPS that shoot mickey mouse heads at each other. Its their game, their call. Its pretty obvious since they totally ignore our concerns and even our correspondents concerns. There is an agenda and its set up by people who dont play SWG. Thats for sure.

And, also consider that they know that we can all leave and we will be replaced by others who will play for a few months til they get bored. Its not the quality of the game.. its how long you play it and how many dollars you send em. There will always be more players.

I just wonder how far they can really push a 2+ year old game engine anyway? Cant be for much longer...

New home of SWG Rangers!

"Ranger isnt a profession. Its a lifestyle for sure. But upon the desert plains of Tattooine that wandering hermit you see was once a proud Ranger. It may not be a profession anymore but the lifestyle can never be lost, changed or deleted. "

In Austin, our Star Wars Galaxies™ team is focused on a big change to the game's combat system. The "Combat Upgrade" is now live on the SWG test server, and it's getting very positive feedback from the SWG playerbase. The team is also putting the finishing touches on Star Wars Galaxies™: Episode III Rage of the Wookies™, which launches in less than a month. The SWG playerbase is very strong, and we're continuing to put a lot of effort into making Star Wars Galaxies™ even better and adding new content all the time. The latest expansion pack adds Episode III content into the universe -- something our SWG players were asking for!

The worst thing they could do is what they're doing: Turning SWG into a clone of other MMORPGs (WoW, EQ2), because, quite honestly, WoW and EQ2 does it better than SWG.

They're taking the lackluster combat from EQ2 and keeping the 'Doing the same thing repetitively for hours MUST be fun!' of SWG and what's going to happen is a wretched abortion of an MMORPG.

WHEN? We are set AFTER ep 3. You must be confusing Revenge of the Sith with Return of the Jedi or something. Maybe, Im to much in favor of old school SW...but the prequels dont qualify SW content.

Truthfully though it would have been madness for LA and SOE not to release something episode 3 related,
