I like the new layout - there is one thing i would like to see added - The Subcategorys of each Section - we need to choose them one by one - not just the number 1-30. For example i would be great if i could make settings that i only see the Galaxies and Trade Forums of the Servers i want - i also only want to see the professions im actualy playing.So it would be great if we can get checkboxes in the preferences for each subcategory

I love the concept, but we need way more customization options. The ability to minimize, resize, close, and move each of the portals would make it perfect.

Good stuff. This will be my new homepage as well.

Comments:

1) The idea behind Top Boards is counter-intuitive. It is based on the number of new posts, yet if I use a forum then the number of unread posts is likely to be low, and therefore not in the 'top boards'. For example my server board has 0 unread posts and is one of my frequently visted (and bookmarked) forums. It'll never show for me on the Top Boards. Can we remove this section?

2) Search is at the top while Bookmarks/Subs are at the bottom, given the poor search function and the useful bookmarks / subscription can we switch them?

3) Quick stats- I know my name, and my chosen icon, and to be honest I know I spend too much time on the forums and don't need to be reminded of it too much

4) Poll - nice idea, glad to see them back. But the current poll has no answer I can give. I don't like it (too many problems as detailed here), but I don't hate, itdoes matter to me, but I have no intention of 'getting used to it' - I want to have you make it better! Then I'll like it and be able to vote.

5) Quick links - waste of space as all the links are on the main page already in more accessible points.

6) Users online - adds very little to the page, takes quite a bit of space.

7) Compact mode: All boards are listed, can we add to preferences a tickbox system to select/deselect forums we aren't interested in having on the homepage. We can still go into the individual section to get the full forum list.

8) Verbose mode: Two pages on the profession / galaxy / galaxy trade sub-directories, please arrange all onto one page.

9) Bookmarks - the old system had the ability to jump to the newest message by clicking on the number in the NEW column. That function is not working on the new system (and I cannot get any preference change to get it working).

10) Forum view - the column headings are misaligned and the size not correct. the old rating column now covers the latest post information, and the latest post column now has the float buttons (and is oversized appropriately)

Overall could be great, but needs much more flexibility.

In three words, "Way to cool". Which I never though I would hear myself say.

I like it because now everything dosen't run down the entire page. It's actually simular to that Playstation.com message boards home page, only this one seems to be a little bit better organized.
