Hopefully the devs won't sneer at her and throw her memo in the trash. In my own work experience, Devs can be rather cocky and don't take critisism very well. We have definately been bashing thier work don't forget.

For instance, I totally agree with the comments about the Lava crystal. I was just like "What in the.." when they first announced that. Yet in reality some Dev thought it was the best idea ever and was totally stoked to get his/her idea in the game. Imagine being in thier shoes, eh? Hehe.

So, just because she is passing the info along doesn't mean anything will get done. We've been down this road before. Let's hope decisions are made with the whole picture in mind. It's long since time for this game to be what it should!

Thanks though Tiggs, your efforts are commended regardless. Please stay on top of things for us!

Tiggs,

I had heard that you made a post that the Snare's DO have a cooldown timer but i think you missed the point. Range is a killer to any Melee Profession. If it is more that 5 M we are worthless unless we use saberthrow. Now that saberthrow do not have KD unless you are a master lightsaber you will never be able to catch your opponent. We can do a modest amount of damage but never to the point of killing anyone.


Now that this is in effect 90% of the professions will at lest these 2 skill : Knockdown & Root / Snare. Some will have all 3. There is a cooldown timer but If you are KD they can get range on you. Then you are snared while they stand still and shoot at you. Once the snare breaks the KD is ready again at which time they can Root you or Snare you again. You will eventually run out of either Force or Mind. At this point you are dead.


Plain and simple. There needs to be a debuff long enough on each of these moves to give any Melee person a fighting chance. If snare lasts 30 seconds and root lasts 30 seconds there needs to be a 2 - 3 minute debuff. At least this gives the melee person a chance for fight or flee.


I also thought i would mention Thoiroid Rupture which CANNOT be removed and lasts what seems like it lasts forever.


Please, break out a whiteboard and look at a 4000 CM / Carbineer / BH and see what all they have that will stap any Melee profession cold.

Tiggs is the very "bestest" Dev! She cares for us and actually gives us answeres, not those lame ticket responses that have nothing to do with what you asked! Couldnt rissist kthnx. lol

Tiggs and TH, you need a simple and quick way to identify posts you like and/or copied to Dev'sin internal communications, or are just good info. Then users will know that you are reading (and utilizing) their posts.


I suggestreplying and quotingthe post, and add a quick word at the bottom, like "good idea" or "dev's are on it". I know you do this somewhat already, but it should be waaaay more common. Basically, any post you like, for any reason, should get a comment from you. Especially on patch days when people are working hard to provide useful information to fix problems.


It may take me 2 or 3 hours (or sometimes days!) of my time to research and test and document a bug. It would be nice if your team could take 5 seconds to acknowledge the work.
