This is more feedback then we've gotten in months, on anything, and yet everyone is still throwing darts. I appreciate even the tiniest bit of info, insight, and communication after there being nothing for the last 6 months. So, Thanks Tiggs. Some things are vague, granted, but being detailed, as people have pointed out, just leads to trouble.

Because we have heard this BS before. Same old crap then nothing.

I actually feel good about leaving this train wreck in a little over a day. I have put up with Dev lies and incompetence since Beta 3. The Names keep changing but the rhetoric stays the same. CS, player morale and the game as a whole is at an all time low. SWG will go the way of MCO, EnB, et al and the MMO world will be better for it.

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No
Increased Dev communication - No
CU will balance combat - No
Most of the bugs from launch fixed - No
saintchuck will continue to pay - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...

"However, I can tell you that our main focus overall is to make SWG more fun for a wider audience."

I hope this gets a reply, because it's a pretty important question:

Does this mean that SWG will be taking on traits from other successful MMO's because the thinking is that "if it worked for them, it will work for us"? Things like less emphasis on crafting, and more emphasis on combat, quests, and loot?

I hope an answer won't be too specific.

Tiggs, if you're still reading this thread, take these words of wisdom from a exiting player.

I couldtake bugs, broken professions, glitches, issues, exploits, unbalance, Jedi outnumbering non-Jedi, etc etc

I could not take not believing there was a plan, a strategy, a direction, a goal, an aim, a future

We care very much about our customers. We will not be giving out specific information on what is coming at this time. However, I can tell you that our main focus overall is to make SWG more fun for a wider audience. Our Live team will be focusing more energy on fixing top issues.

If the smuggler changes are an indication of what is to come. Then be afraid. Be very afraid.

Tiggs, a majority of players have lost faith in the player corespondents.

the game has so many mor ebugs then previously before whoever does testing needs testers that think out of the box - they are currently not doign that - because the players are!

The bugs have been an issue for years and i was suprised by the introduction of CU as a majority of the old bugs were nearly fixed and all proffessions had a purpose.

Possibly soemone needs to look again at the original specs for the game and the specs for CU and brign the fun back in.

I have some amazing ideas for some game areas.

You wil lalways face opposition on change - you cannot please everyone, recently it may feel like you cannot please anyone but im sure there are a few that are benefitting from the recent updates, and although with good intentions i must point out they haven't been tested correctly.

before you say it - yes its a good idea to get players to test patches before they coem out, but realistically people know that there are those being paid to test it , yet we pay to test it.

I don't mean to have a dig at the work you're doing but more emphasis is needed on the testing areas - write some new scripts - i could write you some if you'd like that will find many calss A and B bugs.

more thought needs to go into the process of how something is fixed as well - i've had to move houses to get the admin list bug to be fixed - which is an inconvienience to say teh least. (ok i can't spell it but you get the idea)

I get the feeling that teh community is giving up hope and im sure if you check the figures cancellations
are on the increase.

If you have the same team that you had when you launched the game then I know that you cna make something good out of the shambles that the game is now. Listening just to the corespondents is not the way to operate a mmorpg- thats like listening to 32 people out of the thousands that actually play the game - those figures are not good - also not many people can go to the conventions tahta re held the best way would eb to send out a questionaire to the players

We care very much about our customers. We will not be giving out specific information on what is coming at this time. However, I can tell you that our main focus overall is to make SWG more fun for a wider audience. Our Live team will be focusing more energy on fixing top issues.

Are we finally gonna see a list of known bugs that you acknowledge as well as see many of the professions and items fixed that have been that way since 2003?

No, there will not be a list of all known bugs that are posted. We will be getting back to a list of known issues per publish so that the community is aware that we have seen the bug reported.

And this is where the problem lies. You wish to make SWG more accessable to a wider audience and claim to 'care' about customers, and yet you have failed to do this.
The primary concern for ANY company is to satisfy the customer base, not press agendas and schedules which the clientle do not want.

Almost every publish has brought with it untold problems into the game and now you are stuck in a backlog of bugs with a customer base that resents you.
While I feel that this is not soley one tem oif devs fault, it is a form of critical mis-managment on a massive scale. Take time to READ the forums, and then you will have a general feelimng of what NEEDS to be done.
The CSR and Development team have failed, in their duty, to provide us with a product we wish to play.
I have given up on making suggestions as my voice is one among many. Put simply this is a game I really dont care about any more.
Unfortunatly this is common amoung a large porportion of your paying customer base.

And the solution is simple:
Ask us what WE want, not what you think we want, or what you think will shut us up.

We are tired of stock responses, disdainful unknowladgeable and aloof CSRS who contradict each others information, and relentless bugs due to poor introduction of content.

I am sure you are trying your best Tiggs, and I know (from a coders point of view) that the backlog must be terrible, but we can be patiant if only if we feel that we are being listened to. Simply a suggestions forum with active feedback from developers
All we are asking for is a hand up, something back, not rewrites of things that dont need it. I cite the Y-8 as an example.
I am not ranting or raving as i feel it is futile.

.....Although.... somehow I doubt you will even READ this post. Tiggs, I do hope that you will.

I have been a loyal player of this game since mar 04. I have held my tonge on several things i didn't agree with or understand. But enough is enough you all have gone way over the edge!!! Tell me how this new system is encouraging grouping? let me think a new player that might get 500xp in a full group on dant. They not even going to get that any more. Lucky them!!! I really think you all have a huge problem right now.... Your upper extremities are so far up your lower extremities that you don't have a clue what the players of SWG want. I will tell you what i want..... I want to finish the Y-8 quest that I started several months ago, i want to once again want to be able to put clothing schematics in a factory and get the color shceme that i want... AUG 6th that was supose to gotten fixed (HMMMMM) must have been operator head space on that call... when it takes CRS's 3 to 4 days to answer your tickets that means there are problems... Let me help you identify something... There are to many Bugs!!! FIX the bugs!!!

"Our Live team will be focusing more energy on fixing top issues."

That should have been your number 1 priority!!!!! I would think being a paying customer that i would be a betterselection to make happy than your prosective customer!!! But then i guess not. You all ready have my money not their's right.. Man sorry for being so stupid onthatpart. All i can say is i hope you get hosed by customer service real soon like you are hosing us so you might know how it feels...

Thanks for your time (like you care)
