Thread: You do not have permission to use simple HTML in your signature what?
< a href="URL HERE">Brotherhood of Ni"< /a>
Just remove the space beofre the 'a' and '/a'
I am glad that you have found ways to make nice signatures without the
use of images and such (which are dis-allowed). With the HTML turned
off the only things you should be able to use are colors and fonts.

Does that mean that we shouldn't be able to use links? |

This is one bug we don't want fixed then. Make it into 'feature'. No harm is leaving basic HTML active. |

I have seen the "Basic HTML is not allowed" error before...but I think i have figured out an easy workaround for it, well, at least its worked for me everytime...
1) After you have the HTML for your sig ready to go...start a new post or reply to another post.
2) Click "Edit as HTML"
3) Paste your HTML into the document there
4) Click "Graphical Editor" (you should now see your sig the way you want it to come out).
5) After that, hit "Preview Post"
6)If you were receiving the HTML error while attemping to save your sig, you should see a little notice above the preview pane that says there was invalid HTML and it automatically removed it....but your sig should look exactly the same.]\
7) Click "Edit as HTML" again
8) Copy and paste THAT HTML into your sig and click save.
That should do it hopefully.

Just an FYI, the fact that you can use any html is actually a bug ... With the HTML turned off the only things you should be able to use are colors and fonts.
Then you should have Lithium remove the note on the signature that "This field supports HTML".

That has been my assumption since I know from the comment of a Dev that they have a "link" button that we don't seem to have. That implies that the ability to insert an HTML link is supposed to be by security privledges..that would explain why the WYSIWYG editor removes them.

Try adding color to your script using the handydandy color button at the top of the 'reply to message' screen.
It yells at you for using style. ![]()
