Thread: Password required EVERY time to log into forums... can we expect a fix?
There's a workaround that I figure out for this. Use IE or the new Netscape8 which is truly the best browser to date and if you don't know why then go read what it does. (alternately uses the firefox or IE browser engine depending on which the site works best on but keeps all the features of firefox/netscape no matter what)
Keep the SWG official homepage and the forums bookmarked. Hit the homepage first and let it load then hit the bookmark for the forums and viola, you're logged in. This doesn't work for the firefox engine, just IE and NS8 since it uses IE as I said above.
I use IE and what you suggest doing is what I have always done to get to the forums. It used to work, now it does not.

Exactly! It used to work - now it doesn't !

Even if deleted, the new cookie is created with this expiration date.

i found a solution, that tool should keep you logged in when you refresh the page every 15 minuts
Thanks for the tip/tool... although I am adamantly against going to such measures and installing additional software in my computer, which works perfectly everywhere else. This issue should be handled by Lithium, and in a timely manner. Obviously, this is not the case with Lithium. I remember the last time they had this exact problem with the forums, and it was over a year before they fixed it.
Netscape works pretty well, too, by the way. It's got an auto-login feature, so all you have to do is click "Sign in" and it does the rest for you. Pretty handy. But still a workaround that we shouldn't have to entertain.
