I don't hold the customer service peeps responsible, its clear that they operate within clear guidelines and limited info.


The leadership of the SOE/SWG project, and the associated producers at Lucas Arts, along with the moderators, need to go. This project is mismanaged, poorly planned, poorly designed, and the community poorly serviced and communicated with. Leadership lacking.


I don't even think that the current devs can continue to build upon the initial dev's work, because latest releases don't fit with the original planets, and space zones. It's like, "we're not going to try to do that, or touch that, because we don't know how they did that, so lets create planets without space zones, and without JTL travel options, and zone off planets with invisible walls," as examples.


Anyway, those design inconsistencies are minor issues when compared to the scope of mismanagement of the project overall that continues to see this dev leadership shoot from the hip with ad hoc attacks on professions, misguidedly trying to balance the impossible, by trying to make every single profession balance with each other in a vacuum of 1v1 dueling, rather than focusing on letting their differences (mezzer, tank, ranged, etc.) compliment each other in a battleground or map that engages us in multiplayer (say 5v5 or so) combat. They continue to nerf and p155 people off, by messing with professions, when that's NOT the issue. They are absolutely clueless.

After taking a new toon thru Legacy to level 64, and another CL80 to CL90, I've concluded that this game is bereft of value, and no MMORPG can survive so many role and economic devestations.

Here is a more laymans explanation of the difference:

Planned Maintenance:

Engineer: We have a warning on that hard disc in server 43-001 its going bad. We'll need to replace it.


Emergency Maintenance:

Engineer: **edit** No its not supposed to be smoking get out of here and let me put the **edit** thing out and I'll let you know what's left!

for over 2 years this has gone on and they constantly ignore the players- Tiggs do your job or find someone that can.

If SOE actually had a combined IQ of more than 5 they would have had more than 10 million paying subscribers, before this game came out in the summer of 2003, I remember everyone saying how it was suppose to surpass eq1 in customer base and such, since obviously the Star Wars Universe is immense in size and popularity.


Now fast forward 2 years later and look at how pitiful you look LucasArts having given the contract toSOE who never really even had a plan on long term customer satisfaction. Shutting the servers for emergency or planned downtime is really acceptable but if it's done or could have been avoided or done faster with better equipment, well dodos, that is obviously your fault. YOUR EXCUSES ARE YOUR OWN!


People are leaving and rightly doing so because you JUST DONT GIVE A F about your customers, plain and simple....customer relations is non existant.


Things that suck about SOE on SWG , at least for me: Non existing customer relations, Projects such as Space left half done and not really planned well (Millions of ways to improve all this), Stupidest Loot Tables, Constant unexpcted nerfs or changes which could have been avoided if Soe thought 2 steps ahead instead of 1, Mediocre Ideas such as a Lava Planet and Mite giveaway, huh? who wants that? Were you ok when planning this? Fading High Level Content, Too much focus on pvp between nurse bh's and afk grinding jedis, horrendous hunting for the grind (bols, bols, pikets, bols) ??? A lot more to say, but you can start with fixing these first if you can.


Remember this is Star Wars, so there is still time to save yourselves if you get a move on things, hire some new people if you have to, just do something, the fan base is there for you taking, other mmorpg's will fade in time but star wars has the name.....


Btw, im looking at all these people who cant get into there server for so many hours......Why not hire someone for the week when you know there will be problems, who can go around the forums and view the major problems of people who are posting and dedicate a small section on your home page apologizing to them and maybe offering an explanation or updates as to what is going on, at the same time you would be getting thousands of less flame posts......Electronic Arts used to do this withtheir Earth And Beyond Mmorpg and worked quite well

I don't think the problem is that you took it down (planned or unplanned) it is the consistent behavor that does seem to consider letting people know what is going on.


Weither it is aspects of the game that are broken, bugged,"missing", or servers going down unplanned, the line of communication only seems to come out when you all are force to admit a mistake.


At some point, you all knew the server was coming down, at that time (or a little after) a post would be helpful.

Why don't you say the servers where set on fire and a roll back to Publish-9 had to be made. No more Jedi wars and the game actually needs tactics for PvP.

Lol, they are much worse then SOE when it comes to making a quality product. I remember playing Morrowind, the first month, I couldn't play because it kept CTD. Then it would have so many glitches, the gameplay sucked. I would not want them making this game.

I don't like waiting for the servers to return back on, but I won't blame/troll/whine or whatever its called, I gotta do something else and there are other thingsto doyou could think off, maybe play some other Star Wars game, like KOTOR or JK!


So Devs, we hope you do your best and get the servers up as soon as possible.

Devs dont listen to us, they dont care about the comunity, they dont care about our complaints, they only make decisions like they own this game and dont have a debt with us, they dont ask anything to anyone they seem to think they know whats best for us like if they were some kind of monarch? or dictators ?


I beta tested ToOW and i ended not buying it nothing could be worse than that, there is nothing more to do in this game its all about the same old boring PVP with the same old boring trash talkers, but guess what with my post there is another 1 mill of threads like this one of people that complaint about the game, and they just ignore em,my left acount will be disabled in 2 days and I dont have plans to come back this game went down to the toilet.


I'm so agry about how this game its being developed since the CU, their promises of geting us a better game was a big lie, they only made it more WoWish ... like if we wanted that kind of game, I have so many complaints that I could be writing forever, well anyway good luck to all in this **edit**ing game

If you would give us a schedule of the un-planned maintenance times, it would make life so much easier on us.





OMG you stupid noob, if its an emergency it's usually something that needs to be delt with right away, you never hear of anyway scheduling an emergency broadcast on TV as they do it as soon as they hear about it.
